This is a really good point. I think the Jets have benefitted greatly from an unusually warm winter, as it hid Fitz's arm strength limitations. It's been especially important because we've become a pass first team over this 5 game winning streak. A controlled weather environment would greatly help us. I'm curious to see how Fitz handles Buffalo, it may be our first run heavy gameplan in a while.
I was initially hesitant to play this game with Buffalo still looming, but what the hell . . . Houston would be, BY FAR, my number one choice. To me, it's not even close. I feel this way for four primary reasons: 1) Houston is solid, but I don't think they quite have the overall talent level of either Kansas City or Denver. 2) Kansas City and Denver are, arguably, two of the four toughest places to play in the entire league. (IMO, Seattle, Green Bay, Denver, and KC are the four toughest places to win a road game) 3) I love that Houston already beat us this season. I think they would be hard-pressed to beat us again. We would make adjustments and have a much better feel for how to deal with Watt and Hopkins the second time around. 4) I'd much rather be the 5th seed than the 6th seed
It's my fault for looking past the Bills, there's no question about it and things like that. The blame falls squarely on my shoulders. But I'll tell you what, the offseason is gonna get our best shot and they know it. There's not a team in the league that's gonna outprepare us.
So, to recap: 2 of the 3 choices I've listed are now mathematically impossible and the most probable option isn't even a poll choice. This is why I don't start many threads.
Like I said 3 weeks ago its the NFL and most of what we think will happen won't...yet the exact opposite usually will
If the seeding stayed the same, we will play the Bengals at Cincy.... winnable. Which will bring us to a showdown with the Patriots!!! I wouldnt want it any other way..........
I wish it could be NE... but i want Houston again. I just know we can beat the shit out of them. We weren't us when we played them last time... but we had our snicker bars.
Houston is definitely preferred. The tougher question is if we can't get to 5, Cincy or Denver? With Dalton likely unavailable for wild-card week, I think @ Cincy would be our best bet.
Honest question, because i just heard this on Hahn and Humpty. If Oakland beats the Chefs, do we get the 5 seed and play at Houston? I was told there wouldn't be any math on this test. _
