Was at the game...Very dissapointed...Freaking MTA was terrible. There were so many delays and a long wait to get in, so this whole Yankees fans didnt show up is false. I waited 35 minutes stuck because of some emergency brake situation...Tanaka was not on his A game but he has 2 tears I think (elbow and hamstring)...He is playing hurt so if you asked me that Tanaka would allow 2 ERs I would have taken that at Home. Now we got shutout...This is a problem, what a mess from the Right sided of the plate.
Wouldn't mind us kicking the tires on Justin Morneau with Bird out for the year. Obviously a shell of his former self but a good contact hitter who will come cheap since the Yankees aren't willing to spend big money. Juan Uribe would be an even better option and not all too expensive either. Would love to see us sign a starting pitcher. There's just not many remaining we could trade but we do need to keep building the farm. Relying on Nova with all the injury question marks can't be ideal I'm worried about this staff if an injury or two happens and with Tanaka, Pineda and Sabathia there's a good chance and insurance plans should be in place.
