With one game left to play, he's got the most TDs ever in his career, the second most amount of yards and over 100 receptions (3 catches next week gives him 2nd most of his career). He's not retiring. Also, puts into perspective how bad Cutler is.
I have to reiterate my position from a small disagreement we had a couple weeks ago about who is better, Marshall or Toon. The Toon supporters have to be rethinking that position no? Brandon Marshall is better than Al Toon, hands down. come on
He's the best receiver I have ever seen play in a Jets jersey. Only Maynard has had a better season in terms of Jets history.
Can only wonder how many yards and TDs he would have if Fitz could throw accurately downfield. Having both Decker and Marshall on the field together is a godsend for this team.
This kind of isn't fair because Marshall isn't really sent deep to often and I can recall at least three dropped passes by him when he has.
I'll eat my hat if Marshall retires after going 110/1450/14. He'll be here for 2 more years before we mutually decide to move on and he retires. Hopefully he goes into the Hall of Fame as a Jet, with a ring on his finger.
At the rate he's going Marshall isn't going anywhere for a couple years at least, though he is only signed through next year iirc
brandon marshall should be the poster boy for mental health. here you have a guy who was out of control and a complete malcontent douchebag who went and got diagnosed as being bipolar. he struggled through a few years of dealing with his issue and now is a more mature, more well rounded and i am sure medicated individual. he should literally be put up on a pedestal and talked about because we have so many folks out there who refuse to do what he has done and are a complete drain on our society. i am positive he has helped at least a few people but there are many more out there who should hear his story. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page...reness-nfl-mental-health-crisis-espn-magazine
I don't think you'll have to eat your hat. I think we'll see MacCaggnan give it another go next year with this roster, essentially. Meaning the core players including Fitz and Marshall. Yeah, they'll be cap casualties, and roster adjustments. But I see him and Fitz doing this again. Hoping they can do some damage in this year's post season.... One never knows, do one?
This guy is absolute beast on the field, it's nearly impossible to guard him and we got him for a 5th! Probs to Mac for that great deal. I'm so happy he's on our team, he's been my favorite player in the NFL for years. Dude can just take over a game with his size. Hopefully Fitz and Marshall can maintain this connection going into the playoffs and we can make some noise.
We have him under contract for 2 more years. What's better is there's no guaranteed money tied to either year. I could see them signing him up to an extension after next season or letting him go at that point, depending on how things play out.
In the Beginning of the season when wifey asked if he is good my response was that We've never had a receiver like him.... but I didn't think we would get QB play that would give him these #'s. Wow. You guys have to rewatch his TD vs the Redskins... just amazing.
His catch in OT was pretty sweet. Book ended by Enenwa's catch & run and Decker's walk-off TD...it's easy to overlook. Marshall played lights out yesterday. We haven't had a receiver with his ability, and maybe more importantly, one with his mindset, in a long long time. I hope he sticks around for a few more years.
Marshall is probably the most dangerous Jets WR since Wesley Walker. Toon had great hands, but not as athletic, nor as exciting as Marshall to watch. Chrebet wasn't too shabby.
