I think that'd come down to SOV if they both end up at 8-8. Internetz says that if the Bengals (beaten by Texans) beat the Bronco's (beaten by Colts) then the Texans win the AFC south as they'll have a lock on the SOV tiebreak.
10 hoops is accurate. 1 of them includes a Jets loss. Another includes a Pittsburgh win. so its impossible for the Jets to make the playoffs and play the colts "Colts chances of making the playoffs? Only about 3,300 to 1" http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/p...ances-of-making-playoffs-only-about-3300-to-1
If you went back over our schedule with the benifit of 20/20 you'd wonder why we weren't looking for 13-3
The Texans could clinch tonight if the Bengals beat the Broncos, based on the Strength of Victory tie-breaker. For the Colts to make the playoffs there are 10 games that need to go exactly right for them between tonight and Sunday night. The odds are 3,326-1 they are missing the playoffs according to this article: http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/p...ances-of-making-playoffs-only-about-3300-to-1 \ Oops, just saw Browningnagle's post.
lol I didn't realize that, that's hilarious. I just assumed since the Texans hadn't clinched yet that the Colts would win a tie.
They have to flex Jets-Bills. It is the most entertaining game that has playoff significance. Broncos-Chargers may not have significance depending on tonight and Steelers-Browns will be a blowout most likely.
Thank goodness. I hate late games. The Jets always seem to F it up when there's a national audience. You'd think they would flex the Jets game because it has more implications, since Packers and Vikings have both already clinched a playoff spot, while for Jets, a win guarantees a spot. My guess is that they do it for Packers, just because they are more popular and cheese heads are all over the place.
So to my understanding 1) win and we are in 2) if Denver loses tonight, Pitt loss or Denver loss next week it doesn't matter what we do 3) if we win and either KC or Denver lose we are the 5 seed (assuming Denver loses tonight)
If Denver loses tonight, Jets would be the 5 seed with a win next week. Jets vs Houston in first round. If Bengals lose, then Jets will probably be the 6th seed and play at the Bengals in the first round.
I know some people said they want the Jets to play Cincy, I don't. I want nothing to do with this Bengals team, outside of the Patriots they're the 2nd scariest team in the conference to me, whether it's McCarron or Dalton.
Yea, I'll say it again. I want nothing to do with this team. What the hell was that drive? Against the best defense in the league in a tough place to play, in primetime?
Agreed. Honestly, of the teams in the playoff picture, only the Bengals worry me. If the Bengals win tonight, the AFC Standings will look like this going into week 17: 1. Pats* 12-3 2. Bengals 12-3 3. Chiefs 10-5 4. Texans 8-7 5. JETS 10-5 6. Broncos 10-5 I would sign up for this to end the season in a heartbeat. I think our Jets will be poised to go into Houston and get revenge for the game we lost earlier this season to drop to 5-5. Next, we would most likely travel to Foxboro, and I really like our chances against NE in NE based on how well we played them this year. Good chance they are still fairly banged up at that point too. If we have to play the Bengals in the AFCCG, so be it, but I would love it if we could avoid them altogether. No other team scares me. But then again, I'm getting way ahead of myself. Beat the Bills.
