Devin Smith will be around for 3 more years. Roster will change a lot over that time and Devin will have plenty of chances to shine. Whether he will is to be seen, but he'll have his chances.
This might be a bit premature. He had a rocky first year but the books not written yet. Lets give him another year.
Sure. IF he can get healthy and stay that way. So far he's closing in on Milliner territory. That's not good. Next year will tell in TCS what his fate is. Gets hurt again? Smith has a lot to be concerned about.
WR is one of the toughest positions for a rookie in the NFL. Some guys come in and do great and others take a year to find themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to see Devin Smith in that category. Santana Moss and Laveranues Coles both had rocky starts and went on to have great careers. Smith is wet behind the ears, not drowning.
he should have gave us the win before o.t. but i can't hate him. that was a huge catch and run. the potential is there to have a serious weapon
A tip of the cap to Bowles too in this thread...early in the season pretty much all of us to a man were wondering why the fvck he kept trying to force-feed Enunwa and even after his suspension. He has made a difference at times lately though.
Somebody mentioned smith will be here 3 more years, I agree with that. If anything Kerley is 100% gone for 2016. It says quite a bit when we are pulling guys off the street and playing them over him. I thin next seasons WR look like this; Marshall Decker Tompkins Enunwa Smith Owusu/whoever
Do people here that are minimizing Enunwa efforts actually understand the role he is assigned to play and why he does not catch as many balls? He is used as a superior blocker on the running game first and foremost and he is great at it. Please say good bye to Cumberland because he is gone gone next year. Our running game would suffer greatly without Enunwa. He does not get that many balls thrown his way because of his role, but when he is targeted he is doing a pretty decent job. The dropped pass was not a give me by any means. Disappointed yes, but I think the kid will continue to grow. I'm also not ready to give up on Devin Smith. Away too early.
Who knows what's up with Kerley. I have to think he did something that irked Bowles. As much as Thompson has looked good here and there, Kerley is still the better and proven receiver.
