You don't know what any of that "1000" has gone through, collectively and individually. You also haven't said you have experience with the way the military operates. You seem to ignore those tens of thousands with PTSD that the DOD has cast to the winds. I know how the military can operate, I've seen it in action. I will make no decision on Bergdahl and stand by my statement.
Again, Bullshit. Bergdahl's fellow soldiers said he ran off. His wasn't a front line unit as I recall, he was in a support unit. He was trying to make a political statement, nothing to do with PTSD. He's a coward and a deserter, good people died looking for him, he should be shot. If it matters to you... I have experience with the way the military operates.
Yeah and it's a damn shame. We let 5 terrorists go just so we can imprison a guy that was already imprisoned.
You don't get to call someone a coward or deserter if you were never in the position he was in. You certainly don't get to call for someone to be shot before he is tried and convicted. That is one of the basic tenets of our justice system for which people lay their lives on the line. Your statements are decidedly un-American but you probably consider yourself a patriot.
STFU. I do get to form an opinion from what has been reported in the news. What has been reported is, he deserted his post in a time of war. If that is accurate, the punishment (considering others lost their lives looking for this shitbag) should be a firing squad. I really don't give 2 fucks what happens to this peice of shit, I have no control either way so get off my nuts and Merry Christmas.
I assume "Serial" is a podcast slanted from a Liberal point of view? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Obama would make this trade again because it got rid of 5 detainees from Gitmo. It was silly keeping terrorists prisoner when a bullet to the head would have sufficed.
This snake-in-the-sand is a deserter who comes from deserter stock. OB welcomes the Berghdals to the White House, and at first all's hunky-dory: From there, OB lets the quisling's soon-to-be-cuckold daddy have his say: Now, the cracks start to appear…. "Yeah, yeah, nice speech Bob…….." (while starting to make a beeline for the wife): "Oooh MISTER President, have you been working out?!" ….."please, it's Barack…." "mmmmm….." . . "……yes, Mr. President?…." "Mr. President, I understand sir……she wants YOU…………now go,….go you two….." "Well, that was easy…….." "Reeeeally Mr. President?" ……."please, it's Barack……" Hello Lincoln Bedroom ".., please…."
"STFU?" How mature of you. You certainly get to form an opinion but you might spare yourself the embarrassment of spreading it around based on what you recall from a couple of news reports. Especially if you're looking to get someone shot to death. What has been reported is that he has been charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. He is an American and the charges are being pursued in an American court of law. The Constitution requires the presumption of innocence in the conduct of such trial. Too bad you want to throw the Constitution out the window.
You're right, but it is a Military Court Martial, the rules there are different. So we let him have his day in court... Then we shoot the cowardly piece of shit. You get the last word, cause I don't give a shit what happens to him, or what other shit you have to say about it.
Bellows is right. For someone who's so quick to shut down an argument based on military service, you sure don't know shit about the military. Bo Bergdahl isn't being tried under the U.S. Constitution in an American civil or criminal court. He's being tried in courts martial under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Read up on it. It's far different from the Constitution. And after you're done, shut the fuck up anyway, because you are an ignorant twerp who keeps popping off about shit he doesn't understand. You are just embarrassing yourself at this point.
I would like to point out that neither the rules of criminal or civil procedure nor the rules of the Uniform Code of Military Justice apply to the Internet and since none of us are going to be judge, jury or on the panel of court martial members, nothing we say here bears any consequence to the accused. Having said that, I've never served in the military but "A Few Good Men" is in my top 5 all time favorite movies so I do feel like I am some what of an expert in criminal military affairs and I say they take the coward out behind the barracks and shoot the fucker in the head. And charge his family for the bullet. _
thats honor still goes to bradway for giving up a 1st for doug jolley. but this was awful. guys a deserter plain and simple
