    From your friend in Taipei.... it is actually Christmas here but you'd never know it. It was much more fun in Manila where it is actually a holiday.

    Merry Xmas, Barry. I have a friend that lived in Taipei for years, she gave me mixed reviews, but then again she is a woman. Hope you are having a good time tonight, you've been a favorite of mine for a while, bro.

    And bug the fuck out if the mainland decides to posture against Korea or the PI.

    I'll be home in March, not are for how long but I'm guessing a bit. Have to plan trip to see my mom down the shore. Haven't seen her in a while.

    Haha no but my little Filipino hottie is coming here next week from Manila with a bag full of presents and Tanduay for all

    Chinese is always a good way to eat ;)

    I teach English to school kids. I'm actually woking today, gotta get on my little scooter and drive 35 minutes in the rain. Wonderful way to spend the holiday

    I actually really like it, I make enough money that I don't need to worry about not having money, something I can't do in the US. It's a weird city, kinda shuts down early and opens late. It's a bit tired and old but they are transforming it. A good number of expats but not a ton like say Thailand or Western Europe.

    Things will get very interesting in a few weeks as we have an election on the island. The pro independence candidate is going to win in a landslide and from what I understand there will be some intimidation shown by the Mainland.

    yeah, they are already popping loads of fireworks here in Angeles, and panhandlers were out in force during the Noche Buena
