I might have missed a transaction but I'm pretty sure they had an opening on the PS after Taiwan Jones got activated

Curious what he has been through? Didn't read anything in the article about hard times.

Me too! Passion is an underrated asset. Look at Coples and Gholston to see what talent or athleticism gets you without the passion to back it up. Now I don't know if he has the talent to back up his passion, but I'd prefer someone with more passion than talent than vice versa pretty much any day of the week. At least you know they'll try their best instead of half assing it....

I think he had been injured and ended up getting cut by the Bears. I sincerely hope I am wrong but it sounds like he is a perennial edge of the roster kinda guy: someone who has just enough of a skillset to be capable of getting into the NFL briefly but not enough to stick. my hope is that he will be an overlooked talent who just needed a chance to shine and I'll be rooting for him,but I suspect he was cut after his injury because his position wasn't terribly secure in the first place. Here's hoping for a diamond in the rough!

EDIT: this really would be a wonderful story if he makes it. Like when Chrebet stuck as a walk on but maybe even better. I so hope he can do it!

Actually I was sorta hoping that he signed a pledge TO sucker punch any QB who was as much of a dead weight to the Jets as Geno is. We can start with Geno......

So in one of the most important games of the year you want the team to waste a spot on the active roster on someone who will not see one second of playing time and on top of that you want to make him a captain. Brilliant.

In my eyes he can use Milliner's spot as he has been a total waste anyway worst case they cancel each other out.

PS no one lost a roster spot or a practice spot since he took the place of Taiwan Jones who took the spot of Devin Smith happy holidays to all lol

I agree. If you want to make him a captain and a gesture wait for Buffalo and even then see what is on the line first.

He hasn't taken a roster spot yet but someone suggested he be activated and made the captain for the P*ts game.

Yes in which case he can use Dee's spot. I was referencing a poster from yesterday who mentioned for every happy story there is a sad one though in this case the only sad one is Devin Smith who let's face it is still getting paid !
