It's terrible he wasn't ejected. With the way this league is trying to protect players against a concussion he went helmet to helmet with Norman trying to give him one. He's such a piece of garbage and I'm so sick of seeing and hearing about him. He's lucky he didn't get lit up over the middle by one of the Panthers backers. He better get a hefty fine.
Sunday Night Football is the marquee game now and has surpassed Monday Night Football..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Imagine if that was Brandon Marshall launching himself head first like a torpedo into the jaw of an opposing player? Suspension Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Adam Schefter is reporting that Beckham is going to be suspended for one game. His behavior was so egregious, and this blew up so gigantically over regular and social media, that I don't think the league has much of a choice. I have to say that I was shocked by some comments Mike Golic made on Mike & Mike this morning, saying that while Coughlin could have talked to Beckham, he shouldn't have benched him, since Coughlin's only job is to win the game. That is to me such an absurd statement. Maybe if he had talked to him after the second time, or benched him for a series after the third time, or pulled him completely after the fourth time, he wouldn't have been out there literally trying to kill someone? And even if you're going to say that winning should be Coughlin's focus, maybe if he had actually acted like a coach Beckham would be able to play this week, in a game that is actually more important than last game was?
This is an incredible post. What happened to player safety?? Oh let's protect against concussions..he needs to be suspended today. That was targeting at its finest
There better be an investigation into whether or not Odell is more probable than not to repeat this behavior if this goes unpunished.
Wells report into whether or not Odell is more probable than not to repeat this behavior..lol...go away.
The thing is with beckham this behavior has happened before. Earlier in the year he punched a Db in the face. I think it was vs buffalo? And then two weeks ago kicked the ball in frustration. He has proven to be a child. Yesterday was just the full viewing
I'm actually loving this. He has been pimped by the networks as this ungodly talent, constantly shoved down our throats and now for all to see-it's revealed what an immature piece of shit punk he really is. I just listened to about 5 interviews and all of them are trashing this jerkoff. Fuck him. _
Oh, stokes me too. I actually liked beckham. I thought he was an awesome talent to watch and he was an up and comer in this league but man, After yesterday's shenanigans, I have a sour taste in my mouth about the kid. It seemed like he played the entire game just to get at Norman opposed to doing the correct things to win the game .. I.e.: blocking, route running
As much as I love me some BM I'd be front and centre calling for it! For me its just the sheer intent to cause SERIOUS damage on that play. Watching that replay.....sprints back, eyes locked on Norman the whole time, doesn't even pretend he's gonna make a proper tackle as he tucks his arms in to protect himself and just smashes into the side of Normans head, eyes closed with the top of the helmet. Only thing that makes it look good for OBJ was that Norman was near the play. I reckon if Norman had been walking off to the sideline at that point, OBJ would still of tagged him.
Fuck Coughlin as well, he sounds like a complete double talking moron. "He doesn't follow one player and can't see everything that's going on" and the like. Sounds like he's been taking lessons in idiocy from Rex.
Of course, even if the league suspends him he can appeal, so I actually think there's a pretty good chance he'll be playing this weekend either way.
It's funny Mister Set the Clock 10 Minutes Fast Disciplinarian let's this piece of shit trash everything he's been preaching. Hypocritical asshole. _
We are seeing some amazing QB stretches here. Newton and Wilson are absolutely blistering the league the last 5 weeks. It is a legit question as to who is the 3rd best QB in football right now, whether Ben, Palmer, Wilson, or Newton. They all have a case for MVP (except maybe Ben). I remember last season when ESPN was trumpeting Luck as the greatest thing since sliced bread and how people were saying the Luck v. Wilson debate was completely dead and put to rest - I would argue the opposite now, Wilson is the better player and has had the clearly superior career through 4 seasons. I'm not even sure how the opposite could be debated. Luck as better than Wilson is pure speculation and theorizing right now.
