the only the flukey about this season is the sheer amount of awful teams. winning 11 games certainly isnt doing enough when you play 14 of 16 teams without a winning record, and most of your competition is in the same boat. we lost to a pretty subpar raiders team, and lost at home to a couple pretty poor teams in philly and the bills as well. we should be in the drivers seat if we took care of business in any of those games.
NE Clinches the AFC... be cautious and rest some starters hoodie. U know u wanna play us in the playoffs for some 2011 revenge ^_^ Call me a homer.. idc... if we get in we're going to the AFC chip vs Steelers.
Point spreads for week are out: Chiefs vs Browns (at Kansas City) - Chiefs giving 13 to 14 points Steelers vs Ravens (at Baltimore) - Steelers giving 10 1/2 to 11 1/2 points Broncos vs Bengals (at Denver) - Broncos giving 3 1/2 points
Steelers are -10.5 against Baltimore Chiefs are -13 against Cleveland Broncos are -3.5 against Cincinnati (prime time)
DD I asked about it a few times and was posted that if we win out and Denver loses once we're in heck we could even afford a loss but then Denver would have to lose out
Wow this thread took a turn for the idiotic with the usual suspects chipping in. Love this logic...we played 14 of 16 games against under .500 teams so winning 11 isn't enough. I mean what the hell??? This was a 4 win team last year. Now all of a sudden we're expected to beat shitty teams no matter what. And the Raiders are bad????? Here are the number of wins for each of their 8 opponents they lost to: 11, 5, 10, 9, 9, 4, 9, 10. They've lost to 2 losing teams and the rest of their losses were to teams with 9, 10, or 11 wins. They are not a bad team. We had 2 unforgivable losses this year. The Philly loss because we came out flat as fuck and probably overlooked a desperate team and the Bills loss which was just awful. It sucks that our room for error this year may have been practically zero but to blame the team for losing a few games is just so damn stupid. There is a reason in the history of the league we've had a handful of 15 win teams and only 2 undefeated, it's not easy to win.
The Baltimore Colts missed the playoffs in 1967 at 11-1-2. Talk about getting robbed. They did get killed by the Rams, the team that beat them out at 11-1-2 in week 14, so I guess you could call that a 0th round loss in the playoffs.
The Jets finishing 10-6 and Denver finishing 10-6 is my bet on the way we get in. We are due for a win against New England, at home no doubt, but, the objective fan in me says it shouldn't happen. Further, Denver's vaunted defense looks like it has holes, and they are going with an unproven commodity in Osweiller. They collapsed last year albeit with a different signal caller at the end.
Chiefs losing to the browns next week I'm calling it. Fucking chiefs are gonna eventually lose NO WAY they win 10 straight going to the playoffs can't believe were 9-5 and worried about making the playoffs if we win out CRAZY SHIT
I don't think Roethlisberger is going to be beat by Clausen with the season on the line. I just don't see it. Yesterday was the day and Osweiler got hurt and ruined it.
also crazy even when the Pats lose they screw us. If pats won that OT game in Denver we would control our destiny right now
