if this team honest to god had to win 12 freaking games or else it didn't "do enough" to make it in because two teams they never even played clinched at 11, I'll bang my head on a wall for a week and then call that a fluke circumstance for a pretty good football team that any other year is in the postseason.
Well, our very own hated rival the Pats missed the playoffs in 2008 with an 11-5 record. Pretty amazing that you can be 11-5, and still miss the playoffs.
My gut feeling is that we wind up 10-6 and do not go. My actual gut feeling is that we could go 11-5 and probably still miss. The only thing thing that could get us in is a Cincy win in Denver and www win out. Which I do not think will happen. The "vaunted" Denver D proved to be a joke. Can any team cover any more?

Post season hopes were crushed today but that does not mean I have not enjoyed this season tremendously and the entire team as a whole took giant steps forward in progress.
That's how I feel too. As regards to the other teams winning, it made Sunday feel like we lost a game.
Totally disagree - I never felt like the Pitt or KC would lose, Denver losing 2 has always been the most likely path. Nothing has changed still need to win out. If we beat Pats we are alive going in to week 17 no matter what!
yea we wont make the post season. Shame. I think we finish 10-6 which is pretty good though. Hopefully they build on it next year but that schedule is tougher. It'll take some really great drafting to get us there.

I can't really think past this weekend's game. Losing to the Patriots would be awful. Beating them would be epic. Either way, I can't see past it.
That would be preferred since I have a hard time believing that we will run through the pats and the bills and win 6 straight?? Shit that would be epic. Also the Broncos end the season with the chargers and that game will not even be close. We all are bengals fans this weekend!
True but Rivers is always competetive and is capable of having a big game, and hopefully theyu finish on a high note. This is assuming the Jets take care of business

Absolutely absurd...between those f*ckin yellow towells, Ostweiller unravelling and the one sided ridiculous calls the refs gave Pitt I think my blood pressure was off the scale....the Refs looked paid off I swear. You can see Den has a good defense and offense but all that just seem to disappear when their mojo got taken away
