My problem is we are still on the outside of the playoffs looking in as of now. So stats don't mean shit to me.
Completely disagree with your last statement. Of course neither of us are right because we don't know and it's only our opinion(s). But Bowles seems to be on the Fitz hype train from what I can see.
I know, but grammar also doesn't mean shit to you either. The point is he is playing way better than Geno and probably potentially playing as a top 10 QB this year and at the very least deserves credit for leading a top 10 offense.
He's a good back up getting rid of him would be a mistake.Look around the league at most of the backups.....
Sitting at 9-5 with a chance to knock off the Cheatriots and Rex Ryan in route to the playoffs (with help) and we have morons wanting to talk about a backup QB that hasn't started in almost a full year. Give yourself a pat on the back OP.
Cowboys would have killed us if they had Geno last night. Stop fucking hating and be happy we are finally, FINALLY winning games with a decent offense, Fitz, Geno, it doesn't matter.
Lol. No way. He's not a top 10 QB now, that's ridiculous. His numbers are actually worse than last year but I think the supporting cast is better than he had last year AND his play is better. His numbers were kinda skewed last year because he tossed 6 TDs against a Titans team that had given up. Shit, the Titans we played this year had given up too outside of a select few. We gotta keep Fitz though.
Not true at all! Sure the Genobots would like for us to have playoffs and Superbowl but not as much as they want their golden boy to get that one more chance he somehow deserves. Geno had plenty of talent in year 2 including Ivory and Decker that he did not have in year one. The result . . . He played even worse. If you still think he is fixable you were not paying attention during his second year. If you think he is fixable you also excused his horrible behavior towards a fellow team mate that got him punched in the mouth. Maybe we keep Geno as a backup next year but the Beard must be resigned to start.
That's what I thought you were saying and the answer is NO. He wasn't top 10 ith better weapons than 2014 Jets. He would've looked UGLY on last year's team, as any QB would've.
Yes, Bowles loves the play he's getting from Fitz (at the moment). But don't doubt for a second that Macc would love to upgrade the QB spot with a young, talented player. If not Geno, then it remains a huge ? because Petty sure won't be ready. And a new rookie won't be ready either. So it seems we stay with Fitz or upgrade with Geno. That's why I said training camp will be very interesting to see if Geno has made any progression worthy of giving him a shot at competing with Fitz.
It seems that many Geno supporters are now falling into the defense of, "well no playoffs, season is a fail." If Geno was putting up the same season, with the same results, I doubt we'd be hearing that.
