Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison trashing Beckham in the halftime show (blaming Coughlin and the officials too).
Beckham and the Giants (Mara's) are NFL darlings so there is no chance he would ever get ejected or suspended. But yea Coughlin has always had a tough time corralling loudmouth asshole players...however he has two (albeit very lucky) Super Bowls under his belt so the Giants lack of discipline never got as much airtime as ours did. Coughlin is cooked. Black Monday goner
Do elbows count? Looks like his elbow mightve hit the ground first. Either way geez what a catch And a knee. Cool.
We might go 10-6 this year and the only team above .500 we beat MIGHT be the Redskins. With some luck we might edge out the 10-6 Bronco's despite them having beaten the Cheifs, Vikings, Pats and Packers. Unless the scheduling is changed to a more conference rather then divisional approach then I see no shame in being beaten out by a sub .500 team with a brutal schedule if your double digit wins have come against the dross of the league.
Win your division. If you're not the best team in your division then you gotta gamble with WC scenarios. Don't like it, win more games. No prizes for second place.
I have no problem with the division system, but they should reseed for the playoffs. It is ridiculous that below .500 teams in each conference might host playoff games against wild card teams with at least 10 wins. Remarkable lack of pocket presence for Bradford there, and Cardinals get the ball.
What's aribtrary about the divsion system in the NFL is you have 12.5% of teams in one division and less than half your games in division. You have a lot more of these losery teams getting in the playoffs with four-team divisions than you ever had with five-team divisions. And if you have three-team divisions it'd be even worse.
What's really hilarious is if Washington beats the Eagles next week and the Giants lose in Minnesota, Washington not only gets a home game but a virtual bye in Week 17.
I think if Washington wins next week they clinch no matter what the Giants do, as they would have the tiebreaker.
You can play that game all over the league. The Vikings have only beaten one team over .500 in the Chiefs. The Patriots have only beaten one team over .500 in the Steelers. The Seahawks have beat 2 teams +.500. The Packers, Bengals & Steelers have each beaten three times +.500. The almighty Panthers have only beaten 2. EDIT: the Chiefs have beaten 2 one of which was the Broncos with Peyton Manning's legendary body beaten to shit throwing picks left and right. 21/32 teams in the NFL are .500 or worse and the Falcons, Redskins and Texans are the only teams even. Teams with winning records aren't lining up and knocking off teams with good records. These teams have worse records because they're losing to the better teams. Such as life in the NFL. We ran into an easier schedule this year while hitting murderers row of quarterbacks last year.
Yes this is correct. Washington wins the division with a win over Philly next week. I believe Philly keeps all three teams alive going into week 17 with a win vs. The Redskins.
There is no way the NFL suspends OBJ next week. He's on SNF and they are already pimping his ass all over TV. Piece of shit. _
And Washington's game is Saturday too, the Giants could be done before they ever set foot on the field again.
Right - if Philly wins out they are in (because they've beaten Washington and the Giants to do it), if Washington wins next week they're in. The only way the Giants get in is if they win out and Washington loses out. (I'm ignoring ties.)
