25 yard punt in a dome, missed fg, missed xp, Cro returning every kickoff to the 14, drove me to the drunk thread...deplorable
We're watching the STs warm up before the game and my brother in law (Cowboys Fan) is like "Hey man your punter is amazing, I just saw him punt one from the 5yd line and it went to the 10 on the other side of the field. " I just shook my head and facepalmed. I wish Quigley would just go away.
They had the roof open and it was really windy out, you could feel it everywhere in the place. I had a feeling they did it for the sole reason that we had a backup kicker in the game. I was wondering why the hell they were handing out free Cowboys scarves at the door...
Yea it's probably not the best decision to let one of your softest defensive players run out kicks. Dude constantly shies away from contact.
As bad as Quigley is, here's the deal with Tubby Bollocks: before getting cut by Houston he had already blown PATs in 2 of their first 3 games (vs. KC & TB). In 9 games, he's blown 3 PATs, not FGs, PATs. …Folk's on IR and done for the year. Milliner: former top 10 pick reduced to running down on special teams and he STILL can't stay on the field?!! The guy's Van Gogh's left ear as far as I'm concerned.
Well it isn't too pretty but I guess we have to be fortunate with some good with Bullock filling in for Folk. It could be a lot worst. Didn't the Bears kicker missed 3 opportunities to tie or win the games the last 3-4 weeks. Ok Bullock had a rough game last week and missed extra pt but that was the first miss. To his credit, he rebounded. He hammered through the game winner to give us a win.
Only 7 NFL teams that are perfect in PATS. That's the new change this year. No gimmes. Jets are 18th in %. He hasn't been great but he has been solid for us.
Can't blame Bollock too much for the first missed FG, since his previous successful attempt was nullified by the illegal shift penalty. Longer XP Attempts are no longer automatics. Bollock showed impressive resilience by drilling though the winner. At least there is some redemption here for an embattled Special Teams Unit. Don't know if it's too late in the season to improve the unit, but hopefully the Dallas victory can give them some much needed confidence in their play going forward.
It doesn't help that we have crappy personnel on special teams. No team on their right mind would use Jeff Cumberland on special teams and have a running back as a gunner....
Lol Quigley so annoying... starting with his name. He'll have one great punt to shut u up then go back to horrible when u gain 0.01% faith him. never fails. He was like the hero the game folk got hurt lol... punts were beautiful hit some FG's n extra points.. then saturday he shanking 12 yard punts with no wind lmfao
Which is more appetizing hot or cold garbage? lol Biggest game in forever and we got Quigly and Bullock on tap Did we have one or both for the first NE game?
Do you remember the great run of runningbacks that Mike Shanahan had in Denver? It was because he used RB's as his gunners. He wanted speed and size and he wanted extra slots on the roster for RB's due to the high turnover. Terrell Davis was a 6th round pick drafted to be a gunner. Olandis Gary was a 4th round pick drafted to be a gunner. Both rose up the depth chart rapidly and Davis was the starting HB by the end of his first camp.
