I was the only one to like this draft pick/ actually know who he was...

.... granted I thought we should convert him to safety but ahhh that doesn't matter. yes I'll take all the credit for this.

The catch he made over the middle was great. Did we really draft him? One of this franchises problems is it falls in love with speedsters. All our draft picks have great 40 times, but can't catch a ball to save their lives.

Good game for him today. Big time catch on 3rd and 13. Also had a big play that was called back by #67's penalty.

I'm still skeptical about the complete lack of time for Kerley, but Enunwa looked like a legitimate player tonight

Huh? I'm genuinely puzzled. I think you're confusing the Jets with the Al Davis Raiders. That was his specialty. What speedsters has this franchise drafted? Smith has pretty good speed, but isn't a speedster. Stephen Hill could run pretty fast, but couldn't run routes and couldn't catch. Are those the two of whom you're thinking? Wesley Walker was and Santan Moss was. Laveranues Coles was supposed to be, but didn't play all that fast. They're about the only WRs the Jets have drafted that can qualify as a speedster.

The following are the WRs the Jets have drafted over the last 25 years. None of the WRs drafted last year were speedsters. Jordan White wasn't. Scotty McKnight wasn't. Kerley isn't. Marcus Henry wasn't. Chansi Stuckey wasn't. Brad Smith possibly could be considered a speedster, but he was productive at least as KOR and running the wildcat. Harry Williams may have been. Cotchery wasn't. Chrebet wasn't. Keyshawn wasn't. Toon wasn't. Rob Moore wasn't. Windrell Hayes wasn't. Chris Brazzell wasn't. Alex van Dyke wasn't. I may be wrong, but don't think Dedric Ward was all that fast, but he could have been. Tyrone Davis wasn't. Curtis Ceasar wasn't. Ryan Yarborough and Orlando Parker weren't. I think maybe Kenny Shedd was, but he couldn't do anything else. I don't even remember Eric Boles. Dale Dawkins and Terrence Mathis weren't that I remember. I think Reggie Rembert was, but he was a disaster, period.

I would say that the opposite is the problem. The Jets have drafted both too many small, slow and too many big, slow WRs, and altogether too many who didn't have good hands or very much talent.

I think I was focusing on Stephen Hill and Devin Smith particularly. There is still hope for Smith, he's just a rookie, but Hill was a disaster.

Personally, I think you're being too kind to Hill calling him only a "disaster." LOL

I'm loving our WR group as of lately but why in God's name are we giving Ridley the ball on back to back downs with the game in the balance

The dude is built like a tank too. At 6'2" 225 pounds he's going to be a matchup nightmare coming out of the backfield/at the H-backish spot especially considering he's a blocking threat in the run game, so it's not like when he's in the game the play is predictable. His route running and ability to find gaps in a zone are only going to get back. Excited to see him develop.

That's not nice. There's a movement against using words like that.

Watching his college tape he was pretty raw , hence why such a late pick, but man he looked tough. He is rare for a WR because he actually welcomes contact and can bowl people over. Didn't have the greatest hands, raw at recieving, that's why I thought convert him to safety maybe. but if we can get him goin as a wideout and involved in the screen game it will be good times.

I think it's safe to say we're going to keep him on offense lol.
