Loving how this team is going... i don't see many weak links but i see some guys may be holding us back from being GREAT.

    1. Demario Davis becomes an unrestricted FA, I wanna believe his athletism could keep him around.. but then again i don't. It's a blessing to have such a fast ILB, it really is.. but he's got to mix the althetism with skill at some point. He's not always going to be blitzing.. and he's dead ass AWFUL in coverage.. and can barely tackle which makes his athletism hard to even appreciate. My guess is he's a goner, but somebody will over pay him out there.

    2. Ryan Quigley... get the fuck out. Bye.

    3. Cromartie has got to go. Actually fun to have around i would like to think. All team mates seem to have respect for cro always.. but man.. Marcus Williams is making 500k per year and playing light years above Cromartie as he makes 8M. Oh and he's a whole career younger than Cro. Oh and he has 5 picks to Cro's zero. I wouldn't be shocked if Cro gave up more yards in that horrible 3 game span he had this year than Marcus Williams gave up in his Jets career tbh.

    4. Dbrick. I'm sorry but i've been for this since last year, he's way too over paid. He's been getting our QB's killed since last year and he's not even injured he's just straight up declining early for a lineman. I rather us take the 5 million penalty than have him giving us them 14M cap hits next 2 years. Draft somebody here. The besst you can find. Believe in Magic Mike.

    5. Brian Winters. We all knows whats up. Another spot Magic Mike needs to draft early.

    6. Stevan Ridley is trash juice. What happened to that boy?

Old man Pace has been solid against the run but it's time to infuse youth and speed at OLB.

Yep, it's just so easy to fill LT spots at the same level D Brick is playing right now. <Please note sarcasm> Those guys are Top 10 picks. We won't be drafting in the Top 10. You can take a LT later in the draft to groom as Ferguson's replacement, but next year is not the time to open a gaping hole at a position that protects the QB's blindside. Is D Brick sliding? Yes. Are there better tackles? Yes. Will the Jets "find" one? Doubtful

The only one I really don't want to see return next year indefinitely is Calvin Pace.

I think brick stays but restructers. He is a huge leader on this team like Harris is and Mac recognized that last offseason. Brick I'm sure wants to retire as a Jet. He also is the man to break the team down every week! AND THE HOME OF THE....JETS!!!

I feel you but man i feel like Ferguson being out there isn't calming the storm.. it's already a gaping hole if u ask me.. DE's destroy him. His run blocking isn't even all that. There''s other guys way more deserving of all that money he's one of the top paid if not the top paid at his postion it's disgusting. Only way to make this work IMO is a pay cut. not restructure bc he still won't be worth more money later.. straight uup pay CUT.

Demario Davis and Cro. I would like to see Calvin Pace back at a VERY limited role.

"would you mind not returning" made my head hurt.

It's time for Colon to hang em up. Pace too.

Too much money for what they are producing..
    Kerley
    Cumberland
Cromartie (playing good lately but not worth 8 mil with other options)

Over the hill, need to move along
    Colon
    Pace

D'Brik- He needs to either restructure and take less or has to be cut. He's not playing like a franchise LT anymore.

Cro- Not worth his contract. Let Williams and Milliner fight it out for that spot or draft another young corner or sign a cheaper free agent.

Breno and Winters- They are both below average players. We can do better.

    Colon- Time to move on

Geno- It's time to move on. Keep Fiz and develop Petty or draft another younger QB. At this point I feel like we know what Geno is. It least I think the CS does. It's a shame for Geno that IK punched him. He would have got a real shot with a good offense. Oh well. I don't think the Jets can waste more time with him. The fact that the Jets wanted to get Fitz out there as quickly as they did after his thumb surgery shows you what they think of Geno IMO.

Demario Davis- The guy just isn't performing. He's already losing a lot of snaps to Henderson and Lattimore. He'll probably reunite with Rex in Buffalo.

Ridley- See ya. There's no real purpose for him on this team. We can draft a young guy to be our third RB. We should go with Ivory and Powell.

That's 8 contributors from the roster gone that are expected to be replaced by mostly lower round draft picks of low level, cheap free agents. It is not realistic to get better performance from that many replacements.

While I agree Geno has to go, we see how risky it is to have backup QBs with little to no experience/talent. Dallas was caught in this trap this year.

    Geno Smith - Negative value
    Jeremy "fair catch" Kerley
    Brian "Turnstyle" Winters
    Demario Davis
    Jeff Cumberland
    Willie Colon
    Calvin Pace
    Dee "IR" Millner
    Breno
Backup TE, OL and LBs - these guys must really suck if they can't replace the bums we have now

On the fence - Mo "Money" Wilkerson

Agree on all but Jerry Kerl. I hope he plays this week and our offense flourishes even more with him in there. He's better than Devin Smith IMO for Fitz. If we had a strong arm QB i'd love it... but i see what Chan Gailey had envisioned, route runners and open space with a speedster to allow them to operate (take the top off the defense)

I think Kerley is a good route runner with decent speed and fitz can actually hit him in stride. Time for Bowles to wake up and get over whatever he has against Kerley. He's a baller and i'd say above average slot WR. Blocking may be why he is in the dog house tbh.

For someone who makes as little as Willie Colon does I'd be glad to bring him back next season. Preferably as a backup but he's capable to start if he needs to.

Yes, Kerley can be a good player but at his salary the entire 1 play a game isn't worth it. If he's not going to play he doesn't need to waste a spot. The discussion of why he isn't playing is a separate issue.

That's fair. But now with Devin Smith out i'd like to think he'd be the next man up...but if he were to go he'd be a cheap cut.

I'd argue that Breno, Colon, ,and Winters are not contributors. I know it's not realistic for them all to go but I'm just throwing out some names of players who I'd be looking to replace. I don't expect the team to move on from all of them. I'd say Cro, Demario, Winters, and Colon are realistic options to be let go.
