Just missed Edmonton scoring 4 unanswered to come back down 3-0 against Montreal. McAssist at it again.
Sick comeback. Arena full of Habs fans sent home asshurt love it. Darnell Nurse already is our best defenseman 2 games into his career lmaooo
Caps looked good tonight in Pittsburgh. Hope they can keep it up. Holtby has been flat out fantastic.
“@Bob_Stauffer: Talbot stellar, 47 saves, Oilers win 6th straight game and head to NY for 2nd half of back-to-back vs Rangers tomorrow. Oilers 9-5-1 vs East”
Penguins just got better.... Yahoo Sports NHL @YahooSportsNHL 2h2 hours ago Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury out "a minimum" of 1-2 weeks with concussion. http://yhoo.it/1Uv9yy5 #NHL
The Mike Johnston firing surprised me. Not like the Pens are out of it or anything. Did they expect to be ahead of the Caps, Rangers and Islanders really? Kinda ridiculous. Crosby is supposed to be the best in the world, and he isn't even close to the best on his own team. That is the real problem.
I thought they would fire him last year, honestly they should have kept Bylsma, he was not the problem. The team has 3 all star forwards that don't play defense, and their star player does nothing to elevate the game of those around him because he depends on everyone else doing the dirty work in the corners and feeding him the puck, it's not in him to get into a fight, or hit some one clean and send amessage. All he does is whine and dive. I watched the game, and I'm still amazed at what an unstoppable force ovechkin is, he was like a bull in a china shop, no one stood a chance against him when he was putting the body on the Penguins team. I loved the physical beating they put on the Penguins. Also, how does a team take 2 penalties with 3 minutes left in the game? That's incredibly undisciplined at that level of play.
Defending Eastern Conference Champ Lightning took a 3-0 lead, while forcing one of the NHL's top goalies (Braden Holtby) to be pulled, and the Capitals still came back to win 5-3 led by Ovechkin and Oshie. The team is scary good this year. Just hope it can last come playoff time.
Interesting 10 minutes in the NHL just now: -The Los Angeles Kings have acquired Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Jordan Weal and a third round selection. -Vincent Lecavalier's agent said that his client will retire at the end of the season. -Mike Richards has inked a one-year, $1 million contract with the Washington Capitals.
Really interesting...Kings trying to pick up the same steam when they traded for Richards back a while ago
Florida Panthers ON FIRE. 10 straight wins, Jagr still somehow a beast. That guy will literally die in an arena.
RyJo traded to Nashville for Seth Jones. Great deal for Nashville, even though Seth Jones is still so young. Ryan and Forsberg should do some damage for the Preds. Torts is really ruining that team, or trying to throw the season so they no doubt get Auston Matthews.
Barkov's emergence is fueling this run and Jagr's mentoring has helped Bark and Huberdeau tremendously. The young guys that were called up are gritty and really giving them solid depth. Luongo is the MVP. Boston is still the litmus test for them. Can't seem to beat them, but haven't lost a game since they lost to Boston.
