It's sad, I loved some of his stuff (obviously Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore). Some was pretty good (Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds) but at some point he just went into pure garbageland. I will say Reign Over Me was pretty good though, obviously a departure from his normal stuff.
Many people love that movie. I think it was the first time he was able to mask a shitty movie with nostalgia. Also his most successful attempt at it.
I have to disagree, if you lived through the fucking ridiculous decade of the 80's - the comedic references are pretty good. Nothing earth shattering or great, but it had some classic moments. Jon Lovitz character was priceless.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I feel like nobody knows that movie. It showed he could play a serious role very well. It's one of the best movies of this century imo. I think he is probably just so well off, that he's just doing whatever he wants to do now, having fun with his favorite actors to work with. I doubt he cares what people think of the new movies. I mean obviously none of them are good.
I would liked to have seen that smug little fuck playing Dalton in "Roadhouse" except with the script calling for Sam Elliot to steal Kelly Lynch out from under his nose and then to have Brad Wesley's psycho-fag henchman Jimmy's 'real life' dislike of Sandler carry over into their fight scene with Sandler ending up getting his face rearranged and Jimmy pouring salt into Sandler's wounds for good measure by unceremoniously fucking him in the ass on the set, exactly the way Jimmy "used to fuck guys just like you in prison!" jmo.
Did you just say that an Adam Sandler movie is one of the best movies of the century? I think you did.

I understand the criticism, but unless you've seen Reign Over Me, don't hate on it. It's a far cry from anything he has ever done (especially lately.)
