I'm trying to stay positive...a typical Jets team in years past, coming off a huge win against the Giants would come out flat and shit the bed...we came out strong and put the dagger in a team we were supposed to beat !
If we can't beat them at home, with everything on the line for us, I don't want to go to the playoffs anyway
They'd need to completely collapse, losing the rest of their games for it to have much of an effect on the Jets, and thats only if we win out, as well. A tie in the division standings between the Bengals and Steelers likely goes to the Bengals, which puts us in the same spot as it was before, a wild-card tiebreaker against the Steelers, which we'll probably lose.
it's a road game bengals HC just announced that dalton will at least be out next week... bengals could still lose at SF
Dalton already ruled out for next week, per Marvin Lewis' press conference. He seemed super depressed talking to the media. The Bengals are in deep shit.
So are we officially rooting for Houston tonight? Obviously we wouldnt "root" for NE but part of me thinks the division is still up for grabs. Im sure when the Pats win 40-10 tonight that'll all be put to bed.
Thats probably a toss-up game. If the Steelers win that one, do you think they'll lose another game? Do you think the Chiefs have another loss on their schedule?
Have to win out. At Dallas, New England Cheaters, and Rex's Super Bowl all 3 are must wins. One loss and we're out. Even if the Chiefs and Steelers find a way to lose a game we'll still be out from AFC record/SOS. The sorry stretch which we lost 4 of 5 games (specifically OAK, BUF, and HOU) really hurts now. A lot people think NE game will be flexed but CBS will most likely protect it.
At this point we most likely will have to win out, every game from here on out is a must win. I could also see it coming down to the final game of the season, we need a win to get in against the defensive genius in Buffalo.
Figures the top AFC teams have problems at QB, just at the Patsies are getting healthy. Fanfuckingtastic. Anyway, why do we lose a tiebreaker with the Steelers if we all finish 11-5? Christ, another RB bites the dust...Seahawks in trouble.
The pats play the Titans next week, us, and then the Phins. The division is not up for grabs. It's over.
Yes, root for Houston. Think of it like this. We pretty much have to win out, anyway, so we shouldn't be worrying about teams with a worse record than us. If they catch us in the standings, we are probably done anyway, so that shouldn't be something we are even thinking about. If New England loses one of the next two weeks, and then loses the final two games of the season to us and the Dolphins, while we win out, there's a chance we beat them on the strength of victory tiebreaker.
Steelers have a much better strength of victory than us, and we are not likely to make up the difference in the remaining weeks.
