I've learned to never count out a team with a great QB, and Rivers is a great QB. Doesn't matter what your record is when you've got a guy like him, he can go off on any given day; hopefully it's today.
I think Rivers needs to have words with that "source", it sounds like hidden cameras in the restrooms.
Steelers couldn't have found any more luck in Cincy. First Dalton now Eifert both out for not only today but possibly awhile. Chargers hanging around KC should be up 3-0.
At half.. looking like the 3 teams will separate from the rest in the WC. 8-5 Jets 8-5 Chiefs 8-5 Steelers 7-6 Colts (AFC South) 6-6 Texans (most likely 6-7 after SNF) 6-7 Bills
The problem here is that we need to win out, and hope one of those other two loses. A loss in any of the remaining games likely eliminates us, and winning out doesn't get us in, unless the Chiefs or Steelers lose a remaining game.
It might be time to start hoping for one of the three 10-2 teams leading the divisions to not make the playoffs. That might be more likely than Chiefs or Steelers losing a remaining game. If we win out and one of the three 10-2 teams ends the season at 11-5, as well as the Chiefs and Steelers ending the season at 11-5, Cincy would likely have the tiebreaker over the Steelers, so them being at 11-5 doesn't really help us out. If KC and Denver are both at 11-5, KC probably has that tiebreaker, but if we ended the season at 11-5 and the Broncos did as well, they'd probably have the wild-card tiebreaker over us. The best possibility, besides the Steelers or Chiefs losing would probably be New England losing one of the next two games (either Texans or Titans), and then losing the last two games to us and the Dolphins. If we win out, that would give us the same record as them. It would then go to tiebreakers. The first few tiebreakers seem like they would be tied, so it would then go to strong of victory, and thats very close right now. I think New England leads us by .009 right now, but that could go our way by the end of the season, so hoping New England starts losing a lot is probably better than hoping the Bengals or Broncos start losing.
Might as well start rooting for Buffalo. It could help our strength of victory, if we beat them the last week of the season.
Steelers beating the Bengals really hurts us. Even with them losing to the Broncos next week they most likely will not lose to either the Browns or Ravens in the final weeks meaning we need to win out (at Cowboys and Bills and at home against the Pats) and the Broncos to win next week. In the case of the Chiefs they finish with the Ravens Browns and Raiders.. Had the Bengals not already won 10 games it would be reasonable to see them falling out without Dalton but they will still beat the 49ers or the Ravens to clinch regardless of who is QB. Going to need some luck.
San Diego commits two penalties when they were within the ten. Could've tied it up against the Chiefs.
Freaking Chiefs, they were 1-5 to start the season and losing Charles for the year. 7 straight wins....
Of course, Andy Dalton gets hurt when we need the Bengals to win. It's looking like the Jets have to win out and hope the Chiefs screw up in week 17 against Oakland. I'm not sure if the Broncos will be able to stop this Steelers O on tue road, but I hope I'm wrong,
Gotta keep the faith...win all the AFC games How do PItt and KC lose.?...someone gotta slip on bannana
