As far as I'm concerned, Fitz is a godsend. He's keeping us afloat with more than adequate quarterback play until Petty is ready to go. And not one teammate has punched him yet. It's a win/win situation.
Dumb ass, you said "His Red Zone awareness is so frustrating because he takes bad sacks and throws interceptions in the Endzone. Don't be surprised if you have one of the worst Red Zone offenses in the league this year." NY Jets #1 Red Zone Offense in the NFL I know this was pointed out already but it needed to be done again
Bills fans butt hurt bc they are realizing Fitz wasn't their problem, and their franchise was and continues to be their problem. The Bills will miss the playoffs yet again, and like clockwork they'll resurface in August telling us how amazing the Bills are, only to vanish until the Jets play the Bills. I was at the TNF game, and Bills fans were acting like they won the Super Bowl. All I said to them all was "1999" and they stopped pretty quickly. It actually got the point where I was like, just let em have it, we all know how this is going to end. They were celebrating like they dominated. They had NO business winning that game. Got a couple of good bounces, and the Jets just didn't get the job done.
Bills fans are hurt because the Fitzpatrick we have playing for us is light years better than when he was in Buffalo. It's hard to accept the same guy wasn't as good on your team. Especially considering he's playing at a very high level with a division rival. Poor Bills. Stuck in mediocrity
It's so true. Got to give them credit for staying delusional for such a long period of time though. It's not an easy thing to do. Remember when they were dancing around like Tyrod Taylor was the next big thing? Dude is not a good QB. He's not bad, but he's not good either.
Right...that too. My Bills fan friends were talking shit to me that they got Rex. I was like...Just wait for the ridiculous penalties and the rest of his nonsense. And here we are.
Its amazing they have out gained almost every team that has beat them, they lead the league in penaltys and there defense is ranked 20th.A typical Rex Ryan mess, and that team is loaded with talent
I think the blow of losing Fitz and having him do so well for us is eased a little by the fact that Taylor is pretty good. But that franchise in general just spins its wheels.
Imagine this: To the cheers of Jet Nation, Maccagnan throws Geno out the door to the scrap heap. Miami picks up Geno as a 3rd/BU QB. Ryan Tannyhill loses his right eye when a water boy hits him in the face with a Gatoraide bottle a the end of training camp. Fish fans endure months of ribbing from Jet fans telling them how bad Geno is and how their season will SUCK. HAHAHAHAHA! Then...Geno catches fire and the Fish go on a tear, including knocking the Jets out of the POs. This, my friends, it the life of a Bills fan. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Rex is a likeable coach and I think positively of his time here, generally speaking. But the guy is just not a great HC. He misses some of the nuances of the game, with some consistent short comings across teams such as penalties.
Fitz finally on a good team with talent on both sides of the ball and suddenly he becomes a top 10 QB. interestinggggg! He probably been this beast.
in fairness and being objective. Fitz has been a HUGE upgrade for the Jets. By far no question. This isn't really a criticism of Fitz since he's by far our best option. But on the whole he also had a couple of games (BUF and HOU) that we really should have won, more so BUF that we didn't. One of those games is likely going to come back to haunt us. But again, I love Fitz, he's a solid QB and generally consistent, but it hasn't been ALL sunshine and rainbows.
Facts. He's had his tough times as expected. I think he didn't have as may tough times as we though he'd have though. and kind of to his defense he played that houston and buffalo game with a freshly broken thumb.
And Ivory, Decker and most importantly Marshall were playing dinged up as well. They are all healthy in December, and we are seeing the results of that. A top 10 offense for sure.
A top 10 offense does not make him a top 10 QB. He has been solid for most of the year by not making too many mistakes, he is an average QB who is playing a little bit above his norm. If he is not expected to do too much he can play good enough to win but once again, not a top 10 QB.
