I don't think it's possible for us to win out and not make the playoffs... if everybody wins out we're 6th spot.
I think if the Jets, Chiefs and Steelers all end up 11-5 , we miss out based on conference record. PIT has all their games left against the AFC , we only have 3 left. So they would pass us up in the conference record tie-breaker. I would bet against all 3 teams going 4-0 though. Very likely each team slips up atleast once. If the Steelers sweep their next 3 games they deserve the playoffs.
Buffalo & NE games had no business not being our wins. I can accept the Philly Oak and Houston losses because they just came out and out performed us.
Im still bummed about the Philly and Buffalo games. Houston I can chalk up to Fitz not being 100 percent. No more room for any letdowns though so maybe thats a good thing.
Not so sure about that as if we and pitt both finish 11-5, we'd both have 8-4 conference records. Steelers still have Cinci on their sched and Baltimore AND Denver, won't be easy getting to 11-5 for them
Yeah I doubt we have to worry about them going 11-5. Like I said before , if they do they deserve a playoff spot. But I also dont see us going undefeated the rest of the way either. I guess if we're going to slip up we would want it to be the Dallas game just cause its out of conference. I'll take my chances being 9-5 going into the Pats game though lol.
Bingo, if anybody is planning a roadtrip to Jerryworld then don't buy tix until Rodgers crushes them next week.
We lose the common games tie-breaker to the Steelers if we tie at 11-5/8-4. The problem is we lost to the Raiders and the Steelers beat them. We both beat the Browns and the Colts and we both lost to the Pats. So Steelers win out means another win against the Browns for 4-1 in games against common opponents. Our win out includes a win against the Pats for 3-2. That's the tie-breaker in their favor and it's the third after W-L and Conference. Jets are not yet in control of their destiny because they won't play either the Steelers or the Chiefs in the regular season and so head-to-head does not come into play in the tie-break process. All 3 teams need to have played each other and one needs to have swept the series to get in before conference and common.
LA SuperChargers! CHARGE! who dey, who dey, who dey think is gonna beat dem Bengals? E-A-G-L-E-S, IGGLES!!! also something related to Pats-Texans, we'll see...
Steelers will lose at least one of these games... Most likely they drop two. Ben is getting hit against all of these teams. He has been on and off the field most of the season. To be Baltimore and Cleveland and get to end the Steelers season should give insurmountable motivation. @cincy Denver @balt @cleveland KC will get the 5th seed with their peewee remaining schedule ... If they drop one it will be great, 2 losses would certainly get us in. San Diego @Balt Cleveland Oakland Jets remaining schedule Tenn @Dallas New England @Buffalo Whoever loses 2 games will be out. Rooting for the Jets, Cincinnati, and San Diego this week
Good post my man.. I'd like to think KC loses to SD and Oakland... pass defense is way too suspect to survive those games. Kinda got lucky bounces and tips vs oakland. Also don't see Pittsburgh winning out. I think we stay up at 6. 5 could happen. I don't see us not making it though. ESP if GB beats up on dallas good sunday.. they won't have shit left to play for. Might be a prime-time gimmie game. Plus Cassel takes NO shots down field so we should be good.
I hope you are kidding. The Jets clearly outperformed the Bills by a mile. 4 turnovers doomed the Jets. Buffalo played and coached a terrible game, but the Jets handed them the win. Anyone could see that. I kind of disagree with his other thoughts though. The Patriots did out perform the Jets. The Eagles, Raiders, and Texans games were blown by the Jets.
After we lose this week, it'll be back to Fire Bowles/Bench Fitz. That's what you get with a middling season and a fanbase that doesn't comprehend middle ground.
