Who gives a shit "who started it?" Colon needs to stay in his designated area and keep his yap shut like a freakin' clam! It doesn't matter what the other guy said either, if Colon can't handle a little shit talk he should get the hell off the field. Does he think he looks like a tough guy chirping from his warmup suit? "He did it first" is the biggest pussy talk to ever come out of anyone over the age of six.
wahhh i'm jstokes and i can't take a little shit talking wahhhh hey, you should try a badminton board, might be more up your alley. or maybe ballet, i bet you'd look great in a little tutu.
Usually i would be mad but i'm not mad at him over this fuck shit. It's a battle between 2 teams that hate eachother and a guy in uniform had some thing to say to the guy in street clothes. But the guy in street clothes can give a fuck less about the guy in uniform and he said what he had to say back. There's not a pussy bone in Colon's body, he will NOT let somebody talk trash about him or his teammates when he's in the area. Why ban him from the sideline though? lol that 's OD
Was it for trash talk, or was it for something he said to the referee. They flag came out after the referee had stepped in front of him, not while he was engaged with whoever the fuck it was. That's one that's in the books, one he's been flagged for before.
Who gives a shit who started it? I would ask if your rationale is based on your experience in 7th grade- "he started it" but we all know you never got to the 7th grade. _
I can take all the shit talking in the world. I used to deal with your weak ass shit all the time when you were soxx and you got yourself banned. I can't take a player who isn't even playing talking shit and getting a 15 yard penalty. Aren't you due in auxiliary security guard academy? _
Geno007 is an illiterate troll who is in his 40s but has the emotional makeup of a 6 year old. His next response will be incomprehensible with a plethora of grammar, syntax, spelling, sentence structure and punctuation errors. _
Colon is gone after this season anyway...........can't stay on the field any more. Plus he's a penalty machine, and Bowles isn't gonna stand for that
(1) Colon should just shut the fuck up. (2) It was a really weak flag. No physical contact - Just words. At the Jets bench. Happens 20-30 times a game. Come on ref - Seriously?
Again, I'll submit--unless we know what he said it's really hard to dispute what the ref did. If he said to DRC's "yo momma is fat"--then yes--weak. If he said "you motherfucking cunt ass nigger I'm going to cut your motherfucking head off like ISIS" then maybe it was warranted. It probably wasn't that bad but we don't know. And nobody knows what DRC said. Maybe his retort was "excuse me fine gentleman but that statement is going over the line--I demand you retract that statement". It was probably not that polite but we don't know. Besides--how often do we see the retaliator get the penalty--the second guy to throw the punch gets the flag 9 times out of 10. And as someone reported earlier--the flag was that he was out of the box AND jawing. Again, I can't understand how folks are defending a dude who isn't even playing hurting our team with a 15 yard penalty--he should be on his BEST behavior and not even close to putting himself in that position. Granted it's an emotional sport but you have to control yourself. Wish TB cut his ass today, but as we know, Bowles has lost the locker room lol. _
thought it was a really weak flag.. i'm not a big fan of the sideline smack talk, but it happens every game without flags. didn't see anything hands on, at least from the camera angles they showed, so not sure why a flag was tossed to begin with.
It was a good flag. That was the first Jets-Giants game in awhile that didn't have a near brawl at some point. The freaking Snoopy Bowl turns into WWE every year midway through the 3rd quarter. Colon was agitating and the ref said STFU. I hated the penalty at the time but I didn't hate the ref for flagging him.
I get what your saying but I disagree. It's the Jets bench. Colon didn't say anything to the ref. No physical contact. No flag IMO. Regardless, STFU Willie - ya fat ass.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your intent behind asking "who gives a shit who started it?" I agree that Colon and injured players (or any players on the sidelines for that matter) should keep their mouth shut. I totally disagree with the idea about not caring who started it. In another post you speak about how often the retaliator is penalized. That's why I think who started it is important. It has nothing to do with grade school. Why should the player who's retaliating be the one to get penalized? It should be the asswipe who started the trouble. The troublemaker ought to get a personal foul or unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and a warning that if there's a next time in the game, he'll be ejected. The player's HC should be warned. The opposing HC should also be warned. Teams have too much money invested in these players and the game is violent enough without their getting in fights or taking cheap shots at each other. In the heat of battle, many players are gonna retaliate if they're hit, had a cheap shot taken at them, or if something is said that pushes one of their buttons. Should they retaliate? No. I'm sure that most coaches talk to their teams about not losing their cool, etc., and they should, but let's face it, some of these players are probably borderline mentally handicapped or from rough, brutal childhoods. They're not gonna take anything off of anyone. The retaliating player should get a warning as well and told that if he commits an unsportsmanlike conduct or personal foul in the game he's ejected as well. IMO the NFL needs to do a better job of keeping the players under control. Trash talk is for cretins. It's stupid, low-life and common. It shows the immaturity and stupidity of the trash talker. I wish the NFL would follow the NCAA and disqualify players if they get two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Give them a 15-yarder the first time and a warning. The second time, they're gone. I think anyone who takes a cheap shot going at a player's knees or obviously intentionally hitting the QB late with a savage hit should be immediately ejected and suspended for another game.
I guess the point is, we don't know who started it. We only know who the ref heard. It's like the blatant hands to the face when the ref doesn't see it and the guy who got face washed throws the punch and he gets flagged. It's not right but it's what happens 9 out of 10 times. The moral of the story? Don't retaliate because (i) it doesn't really help out anything and (ii) it hurts your team. He's a dumb fuck for saying anything at that point and considering he's not even playing it's even worse. But I agree with you, trash talking as a whole is moronic. _
