The bottom line is that Pittsburgh needs to lose one of these next two games. Both Denver and Bengals are playing for the 1 seed, so we'll get their best efforts. If the Bengals beat Pittsburgh on Sunday and Jets beat Titans, the Jets will control their own destiny. At that point it would take 3 wins OR 2 wins if Pitt loses to Denver.
So I guess we're rooting for Washington to beat the Cowboys and crush any hopes they have of staying in the hunt? Maybe they'll be laying down like dogs in 2 weeks? Also pushes the Giants down as a side benefit. _
Yes. Cowboys play at Green Bay, so they'd show up 3-10 against the Jets. Redskins are hosting Buffalo in a few weeks, so we might need that game as well.
Yup, that's the absolute bottom line (for now). Jets go 4-0, need either KC or PIT to lose 1 game. Jets go 3-1, need either KC or PIT to go 2-2.
In the 6th but the Steelers have only conference games remaining while we play the Cowboys so if we both win out we get bumped.
edit: nevermind, if the texans wont out they would win the division and they become moot as would indy
i cant see the chiefs going 2-2, they play 4 garbage teams. pitt i think goes 3-1 or better but they do play cincy and denver, who are capable of beating them
Pitt also plays Cleveland and Baltimore on the road... Division games are always tricky. 2 games Pitt should win, but definitely not guarantees I think Pitt will drop 2 for sure... Ben looked good last night at home, but he is not near 100%.
Im thinking we're gonna miss out on the playoffs at 11-5 and the Giants will win their division at 7-9. Half joking but would it really be shocking with how the NFL is? I think as long as we take care of business we should get there. 10-6 should do it. KC is bound for a letdown eventually and Pittsburgh has a rough schedule. Something's gonna give as long as we do what we gotta do.
Looks like scenarios require us to go 3-1 or 4-0 Im very confident about the first 2 games..Ten, @Dallas But vs New England will be an incredibly tough game with NE still fighting for a bye And a meaningless week 17 is always the Rex Ryan superbowl.. you know dont make the playoffs but play well enough to keep your job and brag at post game presser
i think they go 4-0, and either them or the pats win the superbowl. they are a top 3 team in the NFL in Ben is healthy, which from the looks of it yestarday, he certainly is. i dont see anyone but denver beating them, and i think they beat denver. i agree cleveland/baltimore play them tougher then they should, but it wont result in pitt loses.
im more concerned with our competition losing then us winning. if we cant go 3-1 we dont deserve to make it anyhow.... but KC/Pitt are veteran teams and pitt has looked great with ben under center
My current fantasy is that Jets, Steelers and Chiefs all win out and Pats go 0-4. That gives us the division and leaves the Pats out in cold. Won't happen but it's nice to dream with all the Pats injuries that it might.
The Pats missing the playoffs after being declared best team in NFL history by week 10 would be the best thing ever.
Agreed But our last two are murderers row: the Cheatriots and Bills away tough tough tough I am sick of Pitt as much as the nauseating Pats. I hope the Steelers drop dead lose 2 games please
