Yes To all the younger Jets fans... I hope you get some success so you wont be jaded and bitter like us old timers
Best wins in recent memory were the wins over Indy and the Pats. For Indy, I will never forget it so quiet you could hear a pin drop as Folk lined up for the FG attempt, and then almost instantaneous with the moment he hit the ball, the one clear voice you hear is Folk yelling, "YEAAAHHHH!!!" as clear as day before the ball even made it through. Folk the only one in the building who knew it would be good because at that moment only he knew he hit it perfectly. As for the Pats game, it is the celebration on the field, with Bray-Bray doing flips, Bart Scott cutting a promo, and Sal Pal doing his best "Mean Gene" Okerlund:
Lol nah not quite... It wasn't the super bowl, let's not pop open the champagne quite yet. But it was a great come from behind win against the hated giants... I'll take the W with great pleasure.
I'm not entirely jaded just yet, but every time something good happens, I get that creepy feeling that something bad is about to happen. On the other hand, when things start going south, unless they're getting totally blown out, I keep thinking, "They still have a chance!" It's maddening.
To me, you can't compare regular season wins to playoff wins. I will say this: This is as awesome of a regular season win as I can ever remember. Off of the top of my head, the only two I put above this one are @Miami and then @Buffalo in 98 to clinch the division for the first time ever. I guess you could say home against GB to clinch the division in 2002 @ 9-7. But, this win is right fucking there. This was HUGE.
I don't think any win we've had in the past is better then knocking New England out of the playoffs in their own stadium.
Surprised the shit out of me, I turned the game off in Q3 only to return with less than a minute to go and bang. Tie game. The crow tasted fine in OT.
It's up there in terms of games I have been at. I was there in 98 against Jax.. My only playoff game.. I was also there on my bday in 09 against Cincy.. This was a HUGE win, but IMHO until we win the super bowl, not many more things will top beating New England in New England in 2010
I hope so too. No one should have to wait their whole life to see their team win. Not even Cleveland or Jacksonville fans. I was eleven for Super Bowl III, but I did see it. That's why I have no patience for Giants fans who moan about how long it's been, or Patriot fans who forget how much things sucked up there, before Mo Lewis did them a favor. Thank goodness for the Yankees!
I was at the game...the amount of shit take I took from giants fans from front and my friend was intense. At the end they shut up so fast and I dropped a joke on them about making their Giants bleed. It was fucking awesome. Fucking incredible. However it's only 1 regular season win...Chill the hell out
So, other than 2008, you must really have no frame of reference for a world without Brady. That's gotta be hard.
pretty much been dealing with him my whole life lol.. it doesn't even look like it's ending any time soon either
