That hit though... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-...936/Panthers-Luke-Kuechly-out-with-concussion I was like...
That couldn't be further from the truth. As far as I know boxers are suspended 60 days after a knock out and MMA fighters are only suspended from Muaythai training for 4 weeks after a concussion although they don't generally fight more than a couple times a year. Yet again pulling shit out of your ass and throwing a bunch of statements around it to try to make it true.
It's called an agenda. Even though Revis didn't play vs. Landry. Revis is still good but he's not the elite one on one cover corner he used to be. There's no shame in that though. There isn't a corner in this league anymore that can take the top receivers in this league in single man to man coverage with no help. Revis used to be just about the only guy who could do it as it is.
What's going on with Revis is that he's 30 and he's lost a half step. Everything else is just fine. He's still a very good CB, he's just not the great CB he was at 27 before the knee injury. I'm not going to get into the cap stuff and the value of CB's in general but there is nobody I'd rather have on the other team's #1 receiver than Darrelle Revis and that includes Sherman.
Hopkins is right there, just read. Not sure what Landry has to do with this. You don't seem to be watching any games so I'm not surprised you think Revis is washed up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What's going on with Revis right now is he is experiencing serious reactions to a concussion. How many concussions has he sustained earlier this year or in the past that he played through? Perhaps he is so good at his position that even with a concussion he performs better than most healthy defenders. I was at the game in Houston and commented in the first half that he "looked sick or something." His play was simply not up to the standard we expect, age or not. Not having seen the game on television, I did not notice any big hit or see him sit out any significant time. Was there a time any mention was made of a blow to the head or any replays shown of that?
I think their own medical staff gave Luke that concussion. What a bunch of clumsy idiots, that looked like a clip from the 3 stooges.
I don't think revis has lost a step. that play to Hopkins would have happened at any point in his career. it's just stupid to leave any player one on one with a whole half of a field .. not side of a field which is known as revis island.. I mean a half.. vertically. Speed has always been something Revis lacked but his technique is still GOAT
You clearly haven't had to dealt with many. I've had about 4 or 5 that I can remember. It's worse each time. Hell, Jordan Reed missed like 3 games in a row this season from a concussion.
Never said he was washed up clown. Just don't act like he is some shut down corner when he is very fortunate this year. These numbers would be much different if not for bad throws by Qbs against him. Cooper torched him for a long td that was overthrown, as did Watkins, and we all saw Hopkins take him to school. Hopkins should of had 2 long tds against him actually. Solid still but can't trust him against the top speed receivers in the league one on one with no over the top help like in years past.
Hes simply not the player he once was. Theres nothing wrong about that. That being said tho, he not washed up or bad. He just needs help now. Most top corners get help, and theres nothing wrong with that. I dont see a reason he shouldn't have safety help. It helps him be more of a playmaker and allows him to take more chances.
