Cro, Skrine, Walls, Milliner, McDougle plus good safety help, more Mauldin on the field and a solid D Line. We'll be OK. When we win games the offense executes and scores touchdowns in the Redzone. That's the key. Jets lead the league in Redzone efficiency.
OAK and KC both have weak Pass D but the difference is the raiders can actually pass the chiefs can't
We need to run run run and keep eli and odell's opportunities to a minimum. 1 or two big plays involving both of them could break us. Maybe send Pryor headhunting ...
Also, this is where Bowles has to make his money. Keep this D playing well and scheme something up with our 1 and arguably number 2 best corners out. This is where Bowles can separate himself from rex as a DC.
It'll be interesting to see what Bowles is going to do now with Revis and Marcus Williams out (most likely). I guess that means Skrine and Cro outside with Walls in the slot, maybe even Gilchrist. Dex could back him up, and Dee would be the backup outside corner.
Skrine is a man to man corner. Don't think you can cover OBJ man to man really, especially with a guy that small. I'd rather have Cromartie play off coverage (zone) and have a safety over the top prevent the deep pass. With our pass rush and the lack of pass protection the Giants have Cro could have a good game for once. Speaking of...Leonard Williams is also a gametime decision, probably not going to play. We really don't need these injuries to pile up now when it matters the most.
Like we have seen before, the west coast offense is designed to get the ball out quickly. 3 steps, balls gone. I don't see us getting to Eli at all with our front 4. Mauldin (sP?) better be able to get pressure off the edge if we want any shot
I'd do it all day, that's the only way to contain him. No way I take a chance on him, we've seen what guys like Hopkins are capable of if you just cover them 1 on 1. Hopefully we don't make the same mistake again.
I dont see how one rceiver, one weapon they have can beat us but then again its the Jets and our luck We gotta score points against their sh*tty defense
Yeah ... No doubt. We have to win this game on offense because we're going to get torched without Revis and Williams. We'd probably be ok without one, but both is too much to overcome. I'd bet my life we give up at least 3 TD passes on Sunday. This game needs to be won by Fitz, Decker and Marshall because we should have all day to throw the ball against that sieve of a defense.
I did't say Bowles was our DC. People say rex was a HC who was really just a DC. Bowles was a DC last year, but now has to do the job of scheming defensively during the week for a tough test because on injuries, while also having the duties of being our head coach.
