Lol, I was just making a blanket statement but it appears you've confirmed the legitimacy of it. Well done, duck. _
Yes absolutly! I always find it suspicous that the NFl arranges for us to face the Giants every pre-season!?
I do not believe they do. I do think they take it upon themselves to make the games interesting, though---at times. And no one can convince me that some of them are not swayed by home crowds.
Look I think the league favors teams I also think the the offciating should be monitored tighter and reviewed from a remote location and that remote location should be able to over ride the on scene officials. For instance the cro interception or these bs PI calls. Down to the holding no calls. they have the view the tv views to review. The nfl should want to get every call right and they have not shown the willingness to do so
This is really what I think happens more than anything. The game against Miami in London is a great example of it. We were blowing Miami out and that's not what the NFL wants. A closer game keeps things interesting and keeps locals interested. Why would they continue to watch if one team has no chance of winning? So just make a couple things to keep it close. Look at Miami's interception. Bowman tosses the receiver to the ground while the ball is in the air and picks it off. BLATANT pass interference. Jets should have had phenomenal field position but it'd increase the blowout. So let Miami keep the ball, the field position war drastically favors Miami, and Miami eventually scores as a result. A no-call here, a bad call there and suddenly the game is closer which will result in better ratings.
I know that Bubba Smith was convinced the Jets Super Bowl was fixed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used to think there's no way ...but that Steeler vs Seahawks SB had some extremely questionable calls...and till this day that game feels fixed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The NFL definitely fixes games. I'm 100% sure if it. They've been doing it for years. Elvis and Bigfoot explained everything to me, the day we were helping the government plant those explosive devices in the World Trade Center.
not sure if you are serious, if you aren't,sorry. if you are, the teams are allowed to determine their own preseason opponents, the jets and giants mutually agree to play each other as it saves traveling.likewise w ith closing with philly every preseason.
Yeah. This is a whole other thing. Has a gambling entity ever successfully altered an NFL game? More than likely. It has happened in MLB and the NBA. Henry Hill has said on Howard Stern that they had NFL games fixed. But he's said a lot of things. I'm pretty sure there have been a few. It would be pretty cool to hear the inside story on these. But I doubt we ever will.
It's well known the mob laid major money at huge odds on the Jets and got word to Earl Morral that it wouldn't be perhaps so healthy for his family if he should not have his worst game of the season. It's the only rational explanation.
Here we go again... Why has no one mentioned the NFL connection to the secret bunker where the moon landing was filmed and the explosives prepared that were smuggled into the World Trade Center the entire month of August 2001?
For real... just reading some of their tempter tantrums on social media after the loss. Unbelievable... your team has ONE loss, on the road, in the snow, against the #1 defense. Holy shit wipe the tears out of your fucking eyes.
A few other things that 'throw' games: Teams/players quitting during a game. Teams/players quitting on a HC. HCs 'resting' starters (end of season) Taking a knee when in FG range at end of game. GM/HC "seeing what our 3rd string QB has" (translation: play for a better draft pick) Suspending players (sometimes great players) for 'off field issues' Mysterious 'concussion protocol' Season schedules (short weeks off a Sunday night game, flying back and forth across country, England, etc) probably a lot more
IDK, I wouldn't discount the fact that it's possible for the league to have refs make calls at crucial points in the game to favor one side. Either way, the favored team would still have to execute and win. I think it's much easier to do in a sport like soccer where a penalty kick could be awarded to a team which is a super high percentage play of scoring. The thing is after a while, you'd figure it would get out unless the league is so connected to the point where people would fear for their lives if they told the truth. Even if such a thing existed, I doubt any players, coaches, etc. would have any idea of what's going on behind the scenes.
Wasn't the Colts' owner (Rosenbloom) a shady character? At the very least he was a known gambler I believe.
i don't think NFL fixes games (although artificially close London games are suspicious). But I firmly believe Vegas is involved in points tilting. Not every game, not even most games, but 1 every 1-2 weeks.
