Next Years Jet QB is

Who started this myth? I know this is probably a mult-account to troll around but my question still stands.

Ryan Fitzpatrick transitioned into a fast developing Bryce Petty, who earns the job and doesn't let go till... hmm, if he's 24 now, how about 2027 or so? We can dream...

 

ok we will see. I'm not saying he will or won't. In fact we don't really know.

 

Just out of curiosity, why do you still champion Eugene? I was a fan of the guy for as long as was reasonably possible (I still have the stupid Facebook reminders to prove it.) And it's obvious he doesn't have it.... a good college QB, but it's obvious to most of the oppressed free world he isn't starting quality. He isn't going to magically learn to how to read a defense or speed up his thought processes. So why the blind attachment???

 

ANYBODY but Fitz.

Most on here would say anybody but Geno, but the stark reality is that this entire season has been a fucking waste because of Fitz. (Not solely because of his play, but there is absolutely no point in starting him and no future with him)
If he starts next season than you can chalk that up to a waste as well.

There are at least 25 QB's I would rather have the Geno, but Fitz is not one of them.

 

For me that just shows you football acumen... which seems to = 0

 

1. He just in his 3rd season and that not enough time to judge a QB or any players. 2nd. He been on some bad teams he never had a true #1 wideout. You can't find anywhere on here where I said Geno the answer. All I say is give him a chance at what he got to work with now.

I can assure you that I played a higher level of football than probably 95% posters on this board.
Anybody who can say for sure what the ceiling is for Geno based on forced to start as a rookie and playing with a shit coaching staff and shittier weapons, has no "football acumen".

The Jets were never going to make the playoffs this season, therefore one of the priorities needed to be to find out what exactly Geno is, He could be any of trash, solid career back up, mediocre starter. That is why starting Fitz is pointless, every coach and GM in this league already know exactly what he is.

 

Doesn't get any more random than this but apparently Bryce celebrated Thanksgiving with the Decker family. Neat.

Decker has always come off as a true professional. If this is the type of influence he is keeping around as he develops i see good things coming. I hope so at least.

 

First, Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and gals.....hope you are all enjoying your families! @Toronto_Jet good post, I think this kid will the QB we all have been waiting for, I have high faith in this kid and just seeing the way he speaks and now seeing the company he keeps is just making me believe more that we got ourselves our QB of the future!

 

Anybody but Geno, give Petty a shot in TC, heck let him have the job and make Fitz the backup, boot Eugene off the team and sign Jimmy Clausen as the 3rd string QB.

Unless the jets can go out and get a Stafford, or Brees, they need to move forward with Petty.

I don't want to see Fitz or Geno as the starters for the Jets anymore.

And while I'm melancholy on Fitz the player, I'm starting to love Fitz the mentor.

 

Geno should start unless Petty beats him in camp.

Clausen? Are you serious? As bad as Geno has been, he's still light years better than Clausen.

 

what so you are saying Geno is better then Kaep? Am I reading this correct? because that is the point here . At any point if kaep was here would he be the best qb on the team that is the question that needs to be asked.
I have a pretty good thought that is Sanchez was here he would be better then Geno

 

I think the 3rd qb should always be a guy learning the position. Kind of a yearly to bi yearly changing of it. You should always trying to be uncovering the next qb
