He's struggled, and I'm not as high as I was on him, but I'm not buying that becausd he performed very well against UCLA, Stanford, and USC last year, despite being harassed by Leonard Williams and other studs. It looked like his arm was better against Stanford, but part of me wonders if he's playing hurt. His accuracy has regressed ever since Utah.

Yeah I can't really say because I only saw him against Oregon last year but I don't think he played particularly well against Stamford last year.

Like I said, I didn't see any of his early games this year so I can't make an adequate judgement.

    #s w/out context - a very dangerous game.

His TD:INT is 21:4. His yards / attempt is 8.0+. When you watch Michigan State play, the play-calls and offense to me isn't a simplistic offense based on easy throws, nor do they have any players on the outside that make you say wow. It's completely predicated on the big play in the passing game. He runs the pro-style offense, has very little wasted motion on his throws, and can make throws into extremely tight windows.

If you really want to check the #s, check his #s on 3rd down and against the blitz - you more than likely won't find another prospect that has better #s ... that's how you make you money as an NFL QB.

He's going to be a top 15 selection more than likely; he will be the 2nd QB taken [Lynch is overrated] - there are some other prospects I think that are good that can be had later.

I hope the Jets look at defense again too, this team severely needs a linebacker and edge rusher. Myles Jack in round 1; then Wentz in round 2 or 3 would be pretty good.

Lol we went into this year saying he HAD to complete more than 60% of his passes.

This is when many good QBs are at 65%.

    You agreed.

He's WORSE this year at 56%.

He's not going to get MORE accurate in the NFL.

    Pass.

I never said 65% - let's not take things out of context. I did say 60% prior to the season and he has failed in that aspect. It however, took me this year to really understand MSU's offense. I do agree, I haven't see much improvement this year, but given the other choices at QB, I would easily take Cook over the majority of QBs coming out this year. Plus, I am not a huge fan of the receivers MSU has.

I still like his quick decision making against the blitz and his ability to execute on 3rd down. You can pass on him, but that doesn't mean the Jets will. Jets need a QB.

I doubt Hackenberg comes out after this seasons disaster

He's taken so many sacks the past 2 seasons, I wonder if he will just leave and enter the draft to avoid any more hits in college. I would prob leave at this juncture. He will need to ask himself if things will get better from here on out at Penn State, or just take the loss and move on to the next level.

He won't be a first rounder, but he could be a 2nd round pick.

    I never said 65%- I said 60% at a minimum. Ideally I'd like to see 65-70%.

    He's actually regressed.

He is not accurate, misses way too many easy passes and I don't care how many "big boy" passes he makes- every decent prospect does that, every decent prospect completes passes into tight windows WHILE still completing more than 60% of their passes.

I'd take Petty over him in a heartbeat and use the pick to grab an offensive playmaker.

    Any offensive playmaker.

Oline is horrible, but he holds the ball too long sometimes, he's regressed since O'Brien left...throws a great deep ball and has a cannon

As a PSU fan I would like him back for another year but like you say he's probably a mid/later round pick as it stands now

He's horrible, I wouldn't draft him in any round.

I see why you would say that he hasn't really done anything, but Franklin's also not helping him

So who are the QBs you would draft in the first 2 rounds WW if you had a choice?

For the Jets?? We probably will be drafting in the teens, so Lynch and Goff ( I think is overrated) will be gone. So I wouldn't draft any QB in Rd 1. I'm not a fan of Jones, Cook and Hack ( is off my board).

Rd 2 I would draft Wentz, as long a he clears medically which shouldn't be an issue. Nate Sudfeld is player I like in a later round.

Some People have been talking up these QBs of 2016, I'm not very impressed.

Any team taking Goff in the teens is making a huge mistake. Not sure if I see the NFL taking a frail , raw inconsistent air raid QB in the top 20 who struggles with accuracy . But overall I agree with your assessment. I'm actually lower on him than you are. He has some serious bust potential if forced into action.

I was actually trying to be kind an not insulting.

I do not see Goff as a top prospect.

    He's a shorter Blaine Gabbert.

Folks here love him for some reason.

A lot of the QBs didn't improve this year in college football that's what I see this year. Hopefully Jaylon Smith [do it all linebacker] will be available, season is looking like we will have a top 15 picks. The OT will be hard to gauge, Conklin or Stanley could be available for the Jets at the tackle position.

Sudfeld, passes the eye test, but this guy always makes 1 or 2 boneheaded mistakes that make you question his prospects.
