yup. we now have to go 6-0 or 5-1 to get in. KC won, they are at 5 wins... and if the season ended today we would lose tiebreakers to pitt, oakland, buffallo, KC, and houston odds of making the playoffs are extremely poor, especially with the pats and giants looking like locks for a loss and the bills 1 more time on the schedule on the road. this is an 8-8 team, like it always was
Before our loss to the Texans I was all about the Bill (and then Jets) knocking off the Pats. But now I have to back-track and plan for the 6th WC. Go Pats!!!!
If we lose to the Dolphins we need a "draft picture" thread. I think we're 3 games back of #1 currently.. Obviously not gonna get #1, but 7 gives us a better chance at a QB than say, 15.
Our 5 wins are vs the Browns, Colts, Dolphins, Redskins and Jaguars. Every time we've played a semi decent team we've lost, sometimes badly. Even if we make the playoffs by virtue of accumulating 9 wins vs a bad schedule, we're going to get smacked out in embarrassing fashion in the first round. Am I rooting for the draft yet? No, obviously not. That'd be ridiculous at 5-5 and 0.5 back of a WC spot. But it's gotta be in the back of your mind.
I just want to see the Jets improve and finish the season well, preferably get the younger players some experience and something to build on for next year. They are not playoff ready and don't deserve to be there.
Many years I focus on the playoff race (including this year) but it is truly a waste of time. The Jets don't belong. If they somehow get on a roll and make it, then great, but at (5-5) I am going to take a break from thinking about it.
Nobody wants to step up. Assuming the Patriots win tonight: Steelers 6-4 (at Seattle) Bills 5-5 (at KC) Chiefs 5-5 (Bills) Jets 5-5 (Miami) Houston 5-5 (Saints) Colts 5-5 (Bucs) Its not far fetched to think the standings will be this going into December: Steelers 6-5 Jets 6-5 Chiefs 6-5 Colts 6-5 Houston 6-5
I still think we can make a run at this thing because it's the Bengals, Pats, and Broncos and then a bunch of 8-8 type teams. We're right in the mix of those mediocre squads Once we're in it you never know what can happen, and even one playoff game would be fun to watch It's probably going to be the Chiefs and Steelers but atleast we have meaningful games in December
If Kansas City beats Buffalo I feel they're on the fast track to the playoffs...they have SD, Cle, Balt Oak left on their schedule and they are hitting their stride unlike the shit team we root for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Was I wrong? We had opportunities to win.......difference is one team had Tom Brady the other had Tyrod Taylor. On to KC
Bingo. KC easily has the easiest schedule left: vs. Bills @Raiders vs. Chargers @Ravens vs. Browns vs. Raiders I could honestly see them going 5-1. We have to hope for 4-2.
You cant be this much of a dolt. The pats are completely depleeted and you lost by 1 less point than last time. Seriously you said the bills would win and now youre patting yourself on the back cause you lost by 7. Not to mention the refs cost the pats another 7 points on some we blew the whistle for no reason call. This is a jets forum why are you so proud of yourself that without edleman you lost by 7 points instead of 8.. Get a grip dude. Ps if you would have come on this forum and said i think we will hold the pats to less points cause of edleman and lewis are hurt and still lose by bascically the same margin as last time... No one would have argued with you.. So no you were not right.. In fact you are delusional.
Nope... aorn, we pretty much need 10. Being tied with another 9-7 team(s) is bad.. I hope to be wrong but I don't see it.
