LOL 2 INTs in desperation time? Yeah that's totally being fair..."desperation time" Down a score in the 4th quarter with plenty of time twice is desperation time?? Ok..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No it's just relevant because I assume all fans here saw that game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When the defense knows we have to throw and we have to score a TD with under 5 mins? Doable but it's still desperation time. _
You know it and I know it.... If Geno has the exact performance yesterday, you are not sticking up for him that his picks were in desperation time And that's all I'm saying...the double standard is pathetic. I still like Fitz as a person and appreciate his toughness but I'm being honest: he's not a good QB. He had a nice little stretch against shit teams earlier in the season but it's over Time for something new Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gotta disagree here. Every week we see QBs (some bad QBs even) lead their teams down the field under 5 mins and down a score for a TD. That's the NFL, not desperation time.
I can safely guarantee I watch more NFL games than you. Guess what, we don't have Tom Fucking Brady. We have Fitz. Our WRs need to catch catchable balls, especially Marshall who is supposed to be elite. We aren't going to overcome a lot of dropped passes with Fitz. Tom Brady can. We need our WRs to step the fuck up sometimes.
We have seen Brady consistently do things for a decade that no other QBs do on a consistent basis. It's a bad analogy. It's like when a rookie prima donna doesn't run out a ground ball and folks saying "Jeter woulda run that out". Stop comparing what a journeyman did to what one of the all time greats does on a consistent basis. _
Just throwing it out there...the first pick was actually better than an incompletion. Saved us about 20+ yards of field position
If you watch so many games you would see drops all over the place like the rest of us do....sorry for mentioning Brady but a drop can be overcome its not an excuse to play like shit the rest of the game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
under no circumstances do i want to use cap space and/or draft picks to bring in another old, over the hill qb who is another team's reject. to qoute vince lombardi: " how can i expect to beat you with a guy who wasn't good enough to be on your team ( anymore) "?
Fair enough....Brady is not a good analogy agreed. My point was a few drops here and there will happen in the NFL..Every WR is not 100% going to catch it so it's how the QB can rally back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fitz is apart of the problem he is the starting quarterback. I don't want to read any lame excuses, Fitz' play is contributing to the shit show, how is it possible that he is completely blameless?
We have an extremely small margin to win games. Dropping a TD while our defense has forgotten to tackle and our opponent is throwing flea flicker TDs is that margin. _
you don't even have to compare him to one of the all time greats. - Jay Cutler sucks. Yesterday he took the ball down 8 under 2 mins left against the best defense in the NFL for a TD. - Josh McClown is a journeyman if there ever was one. A few weeks ago he took the ball in Baltimore down a TD under 5 mins for a score and the win -A few weeks ago the immortal Kirk Cousins got the ball with 2 mins left down 6 and led a TD drive to win against Tampa... Getting the ball back down a score late is the NFL. With Fitzpatrick they are only considered desperation scenarios because he's played 11 years, started 99 games and he NEVER produces in that scenario.
You guys are fucking retarded thinking Fitz is the problem.. Our receivers not catching balls is the damn problem in most of our loses.. Yea Fitz threw some dumb balls towards the end of yesterday and against the Bills, but he play fucking great considering.. And I am a Geno fan trust me... FITZ IS NOT THE PROBLEM
So you think that 3 guys that actually make the successful comeback versus the dozens and dozens of guys that don't make the comeback means it wasn't desperation time for all of them? And no two scenarios are perfectly analogous. Besides, Cutler is 10x the QB that Fitz is, Baltimore sucks moose cock and Cousins has actually started to look pretty good. It happens. Doesn't mean if it doesn't happen it wasn't desperation time. No one says Fitz is any good. Unfortunately he's better than the alternative. _
