Very nearly 0%. What else could he have done? He picked the best player in the draft and went on a shopping spree for the best players available in free agency to get us above the cap floor while simultaneously keeping the contracts team friendly so we can get out of them quickly. He turned a horrible roster into something that had some people here thinking deep playoff run after 5 games.

He's cleaning up the mess Idzik, Tanny and Rex left him with so I don't blame him at all for this. Yeah, there should have been higher ROI with the Cromartie signing but you can't hit a homer every time. Revis is not the force he was either so our "super" secondary isn't so super after all. The defense was overrated by everybody this side of the Mississippi and ST's are a joke. Yep, the 2014 Jets were a hot mess and so are the 2015's.

Its gonna take far longer than we'd like for this team to get flushed and rejuvenated. If Mac can navigate thru this and produce a winner, he'll be a god around these parts. If not, he'll just join the list of other mediocre Jet GM's that didn't get it done long term.

Too early to blame Mac. If the Jets are in cap hell in a couple years with no young talent, he'll be crucified.

I thought his first draft went well, although the Devin Smith selection isnt looking great.

Blame? The Jets have one more win than last season. They were bad last year and better this year. Jet fans and the media vastly over rate the talent level of this team. Unless one somehow thought Maccagnan would build a Super Bowl level team in one off season he has performed as expected.

The answer is not in the poll.

Here's the option I would add: Not very much - he had to spend a huge amount of money on free agents and he got the key free agents - WR, CB, LG and FS that the Jets needed for the year. Unfortunately adding veteran free agents isn't how you build a good team most of the time and this year was no exception.

Yeah, it's a long poll option but it is accurate.

I like his draft picks for the most part, and Devin Smith is a WR - a hit or miss position that often looks bad year 1 and takes a big step up year 2.

    Zero.

I blame the fanbase for their refusal to let this franchise go through an actual rebuild.

Little to none. He put a great team together, he got all the guys that Bowles and his coaching staff wanted. If Bowles would actually play the best players instead of his favorites we'd definitely have more wins right now.

Bowles is being evaluated critically because since the New England game the Jets have appeared flat and unprepared. Yes there have been injuries but all teams have these issues and the Jets are by comparison pretty healthy.

With a General Manager, its tougher to evaluate, unless its a significant misstep. Maccagnan didnt hire or have input into the coaching staff, so he can only be evaluated in free agency and the draft.

In free agency, he spent the Jets money pretty well in some respects (Revis, Carpenter, Fitz are all good additions) and some not so good ones (Cro)
In the draft, Williams was a safe, no brainer pick that seems to be ok. Devin Smith appears to be a bust, Mauldin looks pretty good.

What Maccagnan does off season with the QB position will define him.

If Brandon Marshall catches the TD pass in the 4th quarter against the Patriots everything might have flipped for this team. It's been a play off of going to the playoffs all year long but in that game it was a play off of beating the Pats in a huge game.

I actually credit mac for what he has done, not blame. He got us most of the top options available to plug the holes of last year and has made us a better even if still not a good team. Further more the noise we here coming from one jet drive is problems on the field only. We are a quietly bad team as much as the media tries to make it not so. Much better than where we were last year.

This should now be the mac appreciation thread

I'm willing to give Devin Smith some more time here before I call him Stephen Hill. He absolutely should have caught that ball yesterday but this year (Like Petty) is essentially a Redshirt year...he missed an entire preseason and has struggled to get healthy. Leonard Williams and Mauldin ahve also looked solid so I think Macc drafted well
