It doesn't make you a fan because you were the only one who didn't know they would never be able to finish

We barely lost with 2:00 to go in the 4th QTR. Shaking my head at the losers who gave up on their team in the 3rd QTR. Pathetic non-fans. (not you, but this board became a ghost town after the first sign of trouble. And we wonder why this fan base is the laughingstock of the league (and that includes Eagles fans!)
Or why this franchise is tortured year after year....:(

Playing Fitz with the injured hand is also killing the running game.

I didn't give up but we're all sick of these uninspired games where they come back in the 4th then fall short as usual

It's not like the game was back and forth

No, but it makes you a pathetic loser if you give up on your team in a close game in the 3rd QTR. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is.
If you hate your team that much and no longer root for them to win at the first sign of trouble, if you abandon your team just when it needs you the most, then you are not a fan and should pick another team to root for.

Uninspired?! Did you see the play where Fitz bowled over a defender head first to score a TD bringing us to within one score?!

This was an inspired comeback effort by the Jets that fell a little short. Unfortunately few fans were still around to witness it.

I've become more disgusted by our so-called "fans" than I am by our snakebitten franchise.
I have to try to teach people on here how to be a real fan, that's sad.

    8-8 written all over it.

Start Petty and see what happens.

Actually twat waffle, it doesn't make him a loser at all. It makes him a football fan with enough knowledge to know what he's watching. He didn't give up, he was able to understand what he was seeing. Obviously you weren't.

People, Fitz is what he is. Good at times, not good at times. Mediocrity at best. What do we do?

Enough with your cheerleading BS. I've been a die hard fan for 50 years and a season ticket holder for 35. I know a team that's done. Fitz is not capable of leading a team to a game tying or leading score. He's failed repeatedly this year. Every year is the same with him. Quick start and bad finish. Barely losing is still losing. There are no moral victories in the NFL. Ivecseen enough of this team this year to know what you m looking at. Slow starts, an aging OL, overpaid CBs, no pass rush, an underachieving offense, an inconsistent running game, a mediocre passing offense with very good receivers and a limited QB. This is a 6-8 win team whether you want to believe it or not. And I'm as devoted and loyal as they come, but it I'm not going to engage in foolish rah rah crap.

Th*s shit mirrors the Bills season with Gailey as HC and Fitz as QB. Started hot and then someone sent out a memo that Fitzpatrick is the QB. Only thing different is Jets didn't hand him a new contract before he started sucking. Why did people believe it was going to be different with Fitz and Gailey in New York? Who the hell saw the Bills from a few years ago and was like, "HELL YEAH, Let's bring that sh*t over here!"

That is a very good...and honest assessment. You can be a fan (35 years), and still be able to tell what kind of season the team will have. Unless there are some drastic changes and a lot of fortunate bounces, 6, 7, or 8 wins seem probable.
