4 Killed, Over 30 Injured at Oklahoma Football Game

That's fucked up. I agree: Life in prison.

 

I dont like people who drink and drive. At her age she should of known better.

 

I just started reading Mr Mercedes by Stephen King about a killer who drives into a crowd of people with his car. Good thing this wasn't intentional, but it doesn't make it any less tragic. How does someone get this drunk?

 

Her lawyer is going the "mental illness" route.........Good luck getting a jury to buy that bullshit.

She is charged with 4 counts of murder.

 

As she should.... personally my opinion is you drive drunk and people die you should be charged with murder and if the states allow the death penalty so be it. It's not much different than shooting a gun into a crowd.

Might could be, consider the source. But her BAC will be established by a mandatory blood test due to the fatalities, so it should be easy enough to find out. It's possible she suffered from some medical event, like a seizure or something, and lost control of her faculties. She apparently has no recollection of anything.

Reminds me of a parade in New Paltz a million years ago when I was in town. Not sure if it was homecoming, but there was a parade and some drunk drove through it. No fatalities that I recall, but some serious injuries.

sad,and if she had been drinking and they fried her i wouldn't bat an eye. however, if she had some kind of medical event. thats going to be a tough thing for her to live with the rest of her life.

True story: A good friend of mine was having alot of headaches, but thought it was due to his vision (practically blind without glasses / contacts). Well one day, about to get on I5 near San Diego he apparently blacked out behind the wheel and hit the person in front of him. Luckily it was at a traffic light before getting on the highway. He remembered nothing, and was taken to the hospital (no real injuries to anyone). He had a CT scan and it turned out he had a major brain tumor that gave him a seizure.
He eventually had surgery to remove it.
12 years later he's fine, has a hot wife and 2 kids
