Disagree, we can lose more than 1 game and still make the playoffs. First 5 spots to me are a lock. Pats, Bengals, Broncos/Raiders, Colts/Texans. Then you have the Steelers at 5, a lock if Ben stays healthy. The final spot is up for grabs, very much in our own hands. Week 16 (Pats) and Week 17 (Bills) will be key for us.
DBH I mostly agree with your assesments you know but not this time. Our final stretch is full of games where we will be underdogs naturally. @Giants (When did we last beat these suckers in a regular season game?) @Cowboys (With Romo and Dez, our job won't be easy) Pats (Bellichick will do everything in his power to game plan against our weakness. Not saying we won't win but we will be underdogs. No way you can say we are guaranteed to to win) @Bills (Hostile crowd, last game of the season. I wouldn't want this game to be the game that determines our playoff hopes) So my friend, we have to win games like Texans games to be able to get into the playoffs.
I think the Bills are our only competition for the final PO spot and they're definitely going to lose multiple games. As long as we beat them, beat the Patriots I think we're good. The Bills have a very similar, almost identical schedule. They play us, the Patriots, the Texans, the Cowboys. The same teams we're gonna play. Then you also throw in the Redskins, Eagles and Chiefs. I'd be shocked if they didn't lose at least 3-4 of those games. If everything goes well I think we might lose 2 games. At 10-6 we're still a WC team. But don't get me wrong, I'm not shooting for 10-6. There really is no excuse to lose to the Texans. And you better beat a team like Buffalo or the Giants if you want to claim a PO spot.
everybody is talking bout us vs bills for wildcard spot while i'm sitting here like "all year i've been saying the AFC east will host 3 playoff teams this year"... the steelers have a new big injury every week and they are the only ones besides the us and the bills really in the running for the 2 spots. I think Pats Bills & Jets get in... and then SHIT GETS REAL!!!! imagine the bragging rights that will be on the line with 3 afc east teams in the playoffs.. these fan bases will be full throttle.
Watch out for the Jags. They have a far more realistic chance of taking the division from the Colts than the Texans do.
Nah, no raiders. Broncos will win the division. i see the raiders going 8-8 at best. Chiefs banged up, they won't go far. Ravens laid an egg this year. Steelers keep getting hurt now they're playing with injured ben and an o-line that hasn't been protecting him as well as normal. Dolphins i can't see getting a W in the division so scratch them. AFC south will send one and honestly none deserve to be in but fuck it the rules are the rules. They'll all finish under .500 like the NFC south that year. Which leaves me at the Jets and Bills competing but like I said i'm not sure if the steelers can hold up. This is all my opinion obviously but the AFC has fallen completely apart this year. Now is our chance.
Game day. The thing that sucks is it is 7:23 Am in Europe and I have to wait until 7 PM to watch the Jets. This sucks.
Halfway there! haha My EPL team is playing at 11am with a chance to gain ground in the table, and then Jets at 1. Up early to get some work done on my MA thesis, then COYS and go Jets!
Which one is it? I like Tottenham as I was going to Tottenham games when I lived in London. That said, 6 hours to go until Jets game. Got out of hotel, ate lunch and I am back and still 6 hours to go. I hate my life at this moment.
correct. You know, because as a Jets fan I didn't have enough tragedy and disappointment in my life... I had to go and adopt Tottenham. The Jets of the premier league lol
Yup. Only way we lose this game is if Cro. gives up an easy score, or a few huge P.I. calls. Or if we turn the ball over. Ivory has fumbled in two straight games. We got super luck in the Jags game to recover it. Mistake free, and we beat them. T.J. Yates will not drive the length of the field for multiple scores with out our assistance.
