We're not playing Detroit this year, but I get it. In this league, you can lose to anyone. But the fact is, we have a better team than the Texans. We're not a bad football team. People should stop acting like we are.

Their offense is going to be severely overmatched against our defense. They have no shot mounting a serious running game against us with those backs. As long as Revis does his job against Hopkins, they're going to have major problems moving the ball . This is a terrible matchup for them, and they have 5 days to prepare for it .... Possibly with a backup QB. There's no reason to go into that game thinking we're going to lose.

People are looking at the schedule and expecting us to lose to teams like Houston, Miami, and Tennessee.
That's not based on any reasonable analysis ... Just beaten down Jets fans still crying over a game we never should have lost.

We just lost to buffalo at home you really need to reel in the how could we possibly lose on the road to a team that just beat cincy sarcasm. Houston is 4-5.. We are 5-4 drop the bullshit arrogance. Or have you not been watching jets games for the last 40 years.

Of course we CAN lose. But that's not the same thing as EXPECTING to lose.
We're the better team. We should win the game.

totally agree, no way we catch them for the division, so we need them to knock the Bills down a peg

I don't see Oakland hanging around. The Chiefs could sneak up on us if they keep playing like they did last Sunday, but they're a game back. Beating the Texans and the Raiders and Bills losing would put us in a good spot, but it all starts with getting that W, on Sunday.

Not Bills/Pats whatever. You are rooting for new England, like it or not. The division is shot and Buffalo is neck and neck with us.

    indifference --
lack of interest, concern, or sympathy.
    "she shrugged, feigning indifference"
synonyms: lack of concern, unconcern, disinterest, lack of interest, lack of enthusiasm, apathy, nonchalance, insouciance; More

    unimportance.
"it cannot be regarded as a matter of indifference"
    synonyms: unimportance, insignificance, irrelevance, inconsequentiality
    "a matter of indifference"

There is concern and it is important New England wins. The explanation should be common sense.

Chiefs won't last either, Peyton Manning gift packaged that win. It's going to come down to the Jets / Bills / Steelers and Raiders for 2 spots.

I will say this much - if we lose to the Texans this weekend, I give us no better than a 10% chance to make the playoffs. If we win, probably still around 50/50. I still see several losses down the stretch of the season (Giants, Cowboys, Pats). The question is can we beat the teams we are "supposed" to beat, including the Texans this week.

Playoff teams have to win those games. If you assume you are just going to lose to the Giants, Pats and Cowboys, you don't think you are very good.

If the Jets get healthy and reestablish a running game they should win one of those games and make the playoffs. I feel like they will right the ship and have a good remainder of the season. Just a gut feeling...

I agree. People are being a little immature right now. We aren't the only team struggling right now. Packers lost 3 in a row, Broncos don't look so hot. Jets gotta rebound, hopefully we do on Sunday.

I'm a pretty big Fitz supporter esp when you compare him to Jets starter post Farve. None the less here is a food for thought factoid: Ryan Fitzpatrick has never even appeared in a playoff game in 11 NFL seasons.

Now, I'm hearing that Fitz is pretty insistent that he wants to play this week. So, I'm thinking he must feel season/team is his shot at the the post season and he's going to try his damnedest to get us there. .

Totally. If I'm the Texans, I try to hypnotize Fitz into thinking that he already made a wild card game back in 2009 or something.

That way he won't try his damnedest. He'll be all like, "Yeah, I made the post-season already. Fuck this."
