Geno007 has to have some relation to Smith. Or maybe he actually is Geno. No one else would be that delusional. I have a lot of patience with most posters, but he is becoming too much now. He is definitely not a Jets fan. He is a Geno fan.

    I think he is Geno.

    Think about it:

    Defends him all the time.

Praises him and says he was dealt a bad hand.

And he talks like an idiot who doesn't know proper grammer. Last I checked, Geno Smith is a moron.

It all makes sense! Finkle is Einhorn! Einhorn is Finkle!

Everyone should be terrified of Smith having to start this game. For all intents and purposes this is a playoff game. Why any Jets fan would want the season to be on Geno's shoulders is beyond me.

I could understand him finishing out the year if we we're 2-8 right now. But as deadly as Watt would be against a smart QB like Fitz, imagine how much more deadly he'll be against a QB that second and third guesses himself before making a horrible decision.

If Geno plays Im predicting 4 TO's for him.

Jesus fucking christ...there is reason tebow is not even a backup in the league anymore and Sanchez is. Geno may not be good, but he can throw a hell of a lot better than Tebow as well. Tebow's skills DID NOT TRANSLATE TO THE NFL. By your logic Jason White should have been treated more fairly by the NFL instead of not being drafted...GM's and coaches are tasked with winning, not being fair.
Tebow was treated more fairly than he should have been. He was drafted in the 1st round when he should habe at best been a late round project. He was a great college QB who didn't have the necessary quick release or accuracy that the NFL level requires. Recievers are wide open in college, where in the NFL the windows are drasticalluy smaller, and TEbow couldn't hit them consistently or get the ball out quick enough. All the Jesusing in the world can't and won't change that.

I don't know if it is fair to discount Geno's "perfect" day in Miami by saying they didn't try. No-one gave him a break when he had a zero ranking against Buffalo because they are stout on defense.

Geno plays well in Miami. Maybe it's because his grandmothers house is within walking distance to the stadium. As a kid he used to climb her tree and be able to watch some of the game. Maybe he feels comfortable there and can relax?

Who knows. It is a little frustrating because he was really good both times he played there. He's just inconsistent and hasn't shown football intelligence. I don't trust him, and don't want him as my QB.

the one thing the Jet D can do to make Houston look decent on O? Keep up the missed tackles, and the Jets can lose the game just like that.

It is actually the exact opposite. Geno has much more talent than Tebow. He just isn't nearly as driven. But all the drive in the world isn't going to make you a good QB.

Tebow got all kinds of chances in New York. He isn't good.

The Pats cut him. They can get production out of a corpse and they gave up on Tebow. I can't believe I am sucked into anther Tebow discussion, but to say Tebow has more talent than Geno is ridiculous. All Geno has is natural talent. He's tall, strong, and has a cannon for an arm...unfortunatley he is also a meathead who makes poor decisions.

He was very good in the games that he had no pressure to perform well in. The Miami game for one, and he also played well a couple weeks prior in Minnesota.

But to me there are two games that stand out in his career that he came in with a big amount of pressure. One being a game in 2013 against Pittsburgh. He had just led us to a great win in Atlanta on Monday night the previous week and the entire fan base was behind him. Well all we got in that game were 2 FG's and the Steelers beat us.

The second game was last season against the Bears. The week prior to that was that Packers game where the sidelines called the timeout on the game tying TD. Well that game featured a Geno-pick 6 on the 1st drive. I wanna say 1st pass but Im not sure about that. We had chances later in the game but Geno sealed the loss with a pick in the end zone.

To me that tells me all anyone needs to know about Geno Smith.

    He cant handle expectations.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I know it is difficult. Smith Fans are like some kind of infection that is impervious to antibiotics.

But the thread derailments are a big problem.

I disagree. I think they all knew Rex was gone no matter the turn out of that game.

Like the Jets don't turn the ball over? Plus if there D can shut down Cin offense it damn sure can shut down the Jets. I'm not saying the Jets will lose but it not going to be a cake walk like some think.

Huh? He isn't sleeping. He's #2 in the league with 9.5 sacks. 5 passes defensed, a forced fumble and 42 tackles.
