I don't think he's saying this season. The point is it is the same cycle: we were 4-12 last year, it will be 7 or 8 wins this year, and then probably 6 wins next year because we have no quarterback. The actors change, but its the same movie people...
Champs always talking about this season. So i ask you, what did you need/expect to see that would not have brought this great thread into existence?
It wasn't about this season chief, it was about seeing the same pattern of choke and suck like always. The Jets won 12 games in 1998, the year they lost to the Broncos in the AFC Championship game with Parcells. 16 seasons have passed since. Know how many times they've won 12 games in a season over those 16 seasons? Not once is the answer. They are 130-135 since in regular season games. So when you see them choke after having 2nd down on the two yard line against the bullshit Bills when 6-3 was on the line, then you know...this is the Jets reverting to form, sucking the life out of athletic success. They are a below average team and franchise. Any more clarifying questions big guy?
I have a question. If the Jets are as bad as you state, why do you follow them? If they keep making the same mistakes over and over, what's the point? Have you nothing better to do with your time than watch the Jets and be miserable? Life is too short pardner. Go find something that will bring you joy instead of misery.
Better than losing to those teams. You play who's on your schedule, it's not like the Jets haven't been competitive in every game minus Oakland. I don't get the point of this topic.
Wow, what a loser mentality you have. I bet anything you're not successful in life. Do you also care to predict their record 3 years from now? 5? 10? They're 5-4 and in prime spot for a wild card. And there's a good chance they're 7-4 after the next two games.
Looking at the schedule like that is dumb because we are only halfway through the season and the records are skewed because they haven't played enough games. In some cases teams the Jets beat that have losing records have losing records BECAUSE the Jets beat them. The Colts, Dolphins and Redskins are all 4-5. Had they beaten the Jets they'd all have winning records, they'd be 5-4. So to say the Jets haven't beaten anyone with a winning record is silly because winning those games are a reason those teams have losing records. also, the record of the teams they lost to is skewed by the Patriots. They are a combined 21-13 but NE is 9-0. So that makes a combined 12-13, a combined 21-13. which tells a different story. The teams the Jets are beating are about the same as the teams they are losing to, with the exception of the Patriots. They aren't beating up on bad teams and losing to good ones. The reality is there are a couple of really excellent teams in this league right now and the Jets aren't one of them, which won't come as a shocker to anyone. They finished 4-12 last year. What is true is that outside of the couple of excellent teams, everyone else is rather mediocre. The Jets have beaten some of these mediocre teams and have lost to some of them as well. But the opportunity still exists to finish higher than the rest of the mediocre teams and secure a playoff berth. Which I think is both a reasonable and attainable goal. They aren't a SB caliber team right now- everyone knows this
