Since it appears that Todd is many, many, many, levels below Belly when it come to brain power & since we play in the same division as the team Belly is the HC of MHO is Todd will be here 3 years & then gonzo which would bring us to year 48 since we last won a SB
Lets C they won SB3 on 01/12/69 so 50 years would be 01/12/2019 correct? Bowles year 1 is 2015, year 2 is 2016 & year 3 would be 2017 or 48 years since we won SB3. At least that is the math I used to come up with the 48 years
The Super Bowl for the 2017 season will be played in 2018, just like the Super Bowl for the '68 season was was played on Jan 12, 1969 so it will be 49.
With our talent on both sides of the ball and soft schedule does anyone doubt that a coach like Bellicheck would have this team 8-1 or 7-2 right now? The team spent a ton and brought in some great players, they have the personnel to compete with any team in the league. What they don't have is a competent head coach or offensive coordinator. In two years when Bowles is fired mid-season maybe we'll pick a veteran and proven HC, these rookie HC's are not working for us.
Maybe you're just bitter that Rex is actually a really good coach and we got rid of him too soon. Rex owns the Jets until we prove it otherwise. Because he certainly proved it on Thursday night.
He may be a good coach. I dunno. But he does look autistic or something. Always has like a half smirk going on.
I agree about the leadership, but I've seen clock management issues the past 3 games now. I agree we gotta give him time to settle in, but clock management is a big one and you can't close out close games without it. Look at the Giants and how they blew 2 games already (and even more over the last few years) because they suddenly become incompetent in the 4th quarter, more specifically the last 2 minutes. I have no idea what they were thinking last week passing on 2 of 3 downs when they could have brought the clock down to 30 seconds for Brady with the same result rather than having 1:40 left on the clock. There's a team that IMO has a horrible head coach when it comes to clock management , but gets a pass because of the hot streaks leading to super bowls.
I was surprised that they didn't give him a Gatorade bath after that victory, like they did on the Jets after the recent 8-8 season. I was seriously expecting it.
Hate losing but we have no present choice but to be patient. Let's just beat texas and go on from there...
What a silly question. It's cuz this is the Jets. If at first your plans succeed then the shock normally causes the CS to STOP and do something else. They're probably afraid the other team is trying to 'lure' them into the end zone and I, for one, won't condone a CS that goes for that.....
I really agree with this assessment. I do wonder, though, don't teams have people who handle this stuff? It seems like NFL teams have people on the staff for every damn little thing that I had assumed that someone on the CS would handle clock management stats for the HC so he could have that info at hand when he needed it. It just seems like Bowles, and a lot of our HCs, seem to always do poorly at clock management. I wonder if this is a failing of the franchise?
considering what beli did with the browns i'd say yes, i doubt he would have us at 7-2 or better right now. now who was this proven veteran h.c. you would prefer?
I said it many many weeks ago Bowles has a Forrest Gump thing that can worry me, but..... I stand by him. I love Todd Bowles
You guys are crazy man. He is a rookie head coach, we are at 5-4, relax. The sky is falling non-sense is just that, non-sense. This fan base is ridiculous.
