Thank you. Good article. Yeah, I would like to see that match. Instead fighting Tate, who she already defeated. I don't see how it would change a 3rd time.
Everyone wants Rousey/Cyborg the same way we all wanted GSP/Silva in their prime and it never happened. Cyborg would have to cut weight and Rousey move up a bit to agree to a catch weight fight. For both fighters to agree to that simply for bragging rights is a long shot. Although if it ever happened, I'll stop being chinese and actually order that fight!
No doubt. Tate losing her belt in their first match was still a good fight. Lasted almost 5 minutes. 2nd fight went into Round 3. So clearly Tate has been her best (and maybe only) challenge of anyone yet. Problem is I think Rousey just keeps getting better so I don't see how Tate could bridge the gap enough to pull out a win.
Aaaaaand... After all the Correia hype and Rousey being called the most dominant athlete in the history of sports by hype master Dana White, she gets her ass whipped by a real striker. Next up on the hype disappointment list: McGregor getting destroyed by Aldo.
lol she acted and carried herself like Ali but was more like Tyson in the end, the bully who finally met her match when someone taller with longer reach figured it out.
Clubber Lang put up a better fight to be honest. I would love to throw in a nice Dragon Ball Z reference here, but I don't think anyone has ever seen that amine before.
Even Tyson got beat. But...this chick was clearly the better technician, something Tyson never had to fear until he got lazy (thank you Don King)...But both chicks are hotter than the July sun....
Tyson was never a bully. That's media crap. Mike Tyson, was the ultimate combination of hand speed, power and technique...maybe ever. Before Don King came along. Watch him at about 3:30 into this clip P.S. He knocked Douglass out, in one of the most egregious long counts ever
Yep, Holm was the real deal, a boxer who could throw as well as move. She slipped a Rousey haymaker she saw coming 'a-mile-away' causing Rousey to lurch into the cage with a clumsey, off-balanced followthrough. And that obnoxious little leprechaun McGregor's comeuppance is overdue as well.

https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CT1J4RbWoAEKYJx.mp4 I knew once she couldnt get the arm it was over, lol. Ronda looked lost from the start of the match! Preachers daughter sent her to heaven. FULL FIGHT
It's MMA, not boxing. It's probably the hardest sport to stay dominant at. Everyone gets beat eventually. Rhonda had a history-making run.
This wasn't just her getting caught, she got exposed, and her ass got kicked. It's what a lot of people expected from the Correia fight because her striking game is a total weakness, but she turned it into a brawl and won before she could get in trouble. Last night showed how one dimensional she is. And "history making run" isn't all that impressive considering it's women's MMA.
I wonder if Rousey will even accept a rematch? She can make money doing so many other things and looked totally mismatched last night. I assume she will, but I don't know what her strategy will be. Probably take whatever it was last night and do the opposite.
It's impressive, Dana vowed there would never be a women's division in the ufc and there still wouldn't be if Rhonda didn't force her way in. She's not one dimensional, shes good at multiple things. She's an olympic level judoka so her takedowns especially throws and sweeps are elite, she has a great submission game on the ground, and she's a brawler with KO power. Yes, her technical striking got exposed. Let's see if she improves on it. I just think the hate out there and people being glad she got beat down is silly. It's MMA. That's what happens.
She's gotta swallow her pride and change her training style. She should hire a new boxing coach and a new Muay Thai coach, guys who are super technical and just train striking 90% for a few months. That's would I'd do anyway from the outside looking in.
Dude, the talent pool in the women's division is as deep as one of those plastic things you throw in the back yard and fill up with a garden hose. Give it about 10 years of development and see if someone is having a "historic run". Until then it's nothing but hype from the hype master. Just like Forrest Griffin winning the light heavyweight championship to improve ratings for TUF when there was no one worth a shit in that weight class. I don't hate her, but the line of BS Dana has been running for her is laughable.
