Fitzpatrick played a great game. He did what he was supposed to do to get us in postition to win he just didnt get much help.
The Jets and Knicks are in similar positions. I love Fitz' heart and he DID make some great throws....but being who and what he is will put a governer on this offense.. period. He is average and while he DID make a couple big throws and was victimized by his receivers, the fact remains we have trouble scoring 20 points and we can't get the ball in from the 13 yard line on a gigantic turnover. If Gino play that game we would trash him, simply because he has potential while fitz is simply overachieving. We cant win with a nice story at qb....and i reiterate that i love the guy. Once again......great D, shitty O. And my god......4th and the game and we go to our backup fb/te!!!!!???? We leave 6 points on the field via tho chips and lose by 5!!!!??? SOFJ They will put me in the grave at least 5 years early!!!fuck them
I think its obvious there is a grading curve. Because we "love" fitz and "hate" geno. I love fitz... love his energy....and he did make some nice throws. .........but he is second tier. Can you ever imagine Tom Brady on his knees after a 4th down incompletion to a backup te to lose the game???? And wtf cant woody hire an experience fucking HC Always learning on the fucking job. Always fuckin up TOs.
Because hes Fitz. Let GS play that EXACT game. Its relative. Fitz isnt supposed to be here. We love him. Geno was a high second who was supposed to be the franchise. Plus he went through a 4-12 disaster. Fitz has only soured fans in Texas, Tenn, and buffalo. We only know the ESPN fitzmagic. We are a mediocre team with a mediocre qb.. ...an overacheiving mediocre qb. GS is an underacheving mediocre qb. Perception slant. Get over it.
' lol idk what this post had to do with anything, but i appreciate it i think. I'm always in support of my boy Geno, i've got a bad rep on this board because of it, i already know this.
Alright sorry for the rambling ass OP. I just don't think coaching matters as much as people make it out to. These guys are professionals, it's up to them to execute. and when you don't have a top tier QB you can't expect to overcome but so many mistakes.
Hindsight is always 20/20, especially on this board. I'm guilty of it too...shoulda of did this should have done that. When players execute coach is GOAT 'GREATEST OF ALL TIME'...when players don't execute, coach is just a goat bahhh-bahh. This was just a nasty tasting loss to swallow. And the taste is going to be there until we get our next W. The shaming of players and coaches will continue at least until 11/22
When your offense ****s up and turns the ball over in your own red zone, it's hard to blame the defense. Defense forced loads of 3-and-outs from a fairly stacked bills backfield. Bills made good plays by attacking Jets weaknesses (passes to TEs / backs covered by LBs) and when they tried more conventional stuff, the vast majority of the time they got shut down hard. And lets face it, every defense is gonna have weaknesses - we compensate for our weaknesses to LB coverage by blitzing the hell out of the QB, which is why teams with uber-quick-release throwers tend to tear us up for 300+ air yards. There were some questionable play-calls, absolutely. Throwing it a yard short of the down marker on 3rd and hoping your receiver can fight for that extra yard is one thing, doing the same thing on 4th is another. That said, play-calling alone didn't cost us the game. D. Smith should not have been on the field as a returner - and that fumble and resulting TD right there is the margin of loss, point-wise. Marshall, Decker, and Davis had some key pass play errors, but Fitz made plenty of questionable throws. Some of those are on him as a QB for poor ball placement, some of those are on the receiving core as strait-up drops, and, like in so many other things, it's often a little of both. Run-blocking and Ivory's running were erratic. We lost this game by 5 points. No one single thing cost us this game, though many things could have won us this game. Multiple mistakes - by players, coaches, and past GMs - all conspired to bring us here. Our HC/ST coaches need to make sure that anyone returning kicks spends a LOT of time in practice doing it before they step onto an NFL field and do it. Our OC needs to not call plays short of the down marker on 4th down. Our WRs need to not drop the passes that hit them in the chest. Our QB needs to not force our WRs to dive for balls they can barely touch with their fingertips so we don't have these tip-drill interceptions. I can go on.
Fitzpatrick did not play well, he had his moments but overall he was bad last night. We already know that he's not the kind of QB that's going to bring you back, he had heart though and I like the effort.
It probably isn't a good idea to start your title with HEY S***FACES if you want to get taken seriously.
We need to trade Marshall. The guy's a headcase and can't focus. He's only getting worse. If I watch more more pick bounce of his hands I'm going to be sick. He practically commits a turnover himself every game. We can't win like that.
He is definitely banged up/injured. But....he is starting to look a bit diva too. Miss the Week 1 through 5 Marshall. The last few weeks of Marshall have been mix of good and bad; with the bad probably out weighing the good. At least he forces defenses to commit valuable assets of their defense to him. It's just too bad Marshall forgot how to clutch catch; and make big plays
I generally like your posts but not this one. Ivory is not a fumbler generally and last night that was ripped from his arms. Hats off to Rambo or whoever the defender was on that one. Smith I'll chalk up to an over-eager rookie trying too hard (beginning with taking the ball out of the EZ). He was plenty hungry. And even the Ints, though frustrating, haven't been horrendous (most seem to be bouncing off the receiver's hands and not of the type of "who in the heck was he throwing to"). We're not witnessing butt fumbles or screen passes to Ziggy Ansah when your fullback is laying on the turf. They need to be cleaned up but I don't think it's an ill-prepared team. We're plenty hungry We've hit a rough patch and it's time for them to gut it out , and for fans to chill a bit and start supporting the team. Yesterday was frustrating. We should vent a bit, get over it, and on to the next game. Just like a player has to get over a flub, and on to the next play
Fitz no pass good Marshall tripel where they's people's at that say that bro can throw tite maybe but no wat be that how they do that to played while name calling assholes. _
This is by far one of the most ludicrous and egregiously pathetic comments of the last two days, second to none amongst a sea of garbage threads we have seen after this painful loss. Some proclaimed jet fans are anything but.
I honestly don't see anything crucially wrong with the head coach or the players. Yes, we may have been better going for the field goal and there were some key drops, but the Jets were still in a position to the game.... but nobody should be defending Gailey. His playing sucks... Buffalo fans were right.
