Guy deserves to be talked about after that game last night. First game this year and he looked awesome!! Should be a nice pairing with him and Pryor
Yea, not much you can take out of of last nights debacle, but this kid came ready to go. His timing on the blitzes were nice. Maybe we could start running some two LB 3 safety sets once everybody gets healthy. He tackles better than Demario and would really help bring a speed edge to things out there.
Yes he does, I've been itching to see this kid get the call for a while. I was worried we'd lose him to somebody off the PS. Luckily, we didn't but it took "everybody" getting hurt for his chance to happen. When it did tho the kid came ready to go. Hate like hell that we lost, but it felt really good seeing some young blood in LZ and Rontez out there making plays. Together they would really help the pass rush game if last nights performance is any indicator.
Very pleased with Miles. No doubt this guy has been paying attention, studying the playbook & keeping himself focused. Guy came right in & made plays, but also avoided making any serious mistakes. Seemed to be in position for majority of plays. Unfortunately, our SS position seems to be crowded. Can we use him for any trade value?
Wasn't his first game, he played last week and looked like crap. Took a terrible angle once and missed a tackled, allowing a bigplay. But he has ability, played really well last night. Sort of a Ihedigbo clone. But no way do I want him in the starting lineup unless Pryor is injured.
Makes me question why we cut him for Dion Bailey and then re-signed him only to the PS when Bailey was clear trash
Bailey played well when he was rushed in. Didn't blow any coverages, wraps up, good closing speed, attacks the ball in the air. If those guys weren't injured I think we probably have the best depth at safety in the league with AA, JJ, Bailey and Miles as well.
He will not be "paired" with Pryor. He can backup Pryor but should never be on the field at the same time. They are both so obviously strong safeties.
Great blitzing safet, good tackler. Saw more of what we saw from him during preseason. Gunna be tough deciding who to keep as the number 2 SS next year. Play like this gives Rontez the inside track.
Yep. I liked the way he played, but I also liked the way Jaiquawn Jarrett played against the Steelers last year.
And so starts the legend of Rontez Miles, stay tuned for next week when Miles makes a mistake and the cut Miles saga begins
