Yep, Craig has said the only reason he will do another movie is for the money (an outrageous offer). His paychecks so far: Casino Royale - 3 million Quantum - 7 million Skyfall - 16 million Spectre - 30 million For him to do another movie, he would have to get what Robert Downey Jr got for Avengers...big salary + percent of box office
Please. I'm 51. My physical grind is harder than anything he needs to do to get in shape for the role. And I still make it to the gym, and can pull 400+ from the floor. Balderdash.
Fact. Here's the Bond Workout... It's pretty rough. If you own a Vagina. For a guy with unlimited funds, the ability to eat right, and free time...get real. http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/workout-daniel-craig
I don't think Craig's acting creds are the question (forget Tomb Raider and Cowboys vs Aliens). The question is can he carry the film? Does he have it, whatever it is. Connery did, I'm not sure about Craig though. Ftr I think Craig's a better actor than Connery ever was, not sure he'll ever be near the same stratosphere as a name though.
I forgot to post in this thread!!! I apologize. I lean more towards Poe than I do CMann on this one. SKYFALL is by far the crown jewel of the Daniel Craig era. SPECTRE probably falls in line just ahead of Quantum of Solace for 3rd best. It was disappointing. Pretty much for all of the points that Poeman brought up. It wasn't bad, we are all Bond fans, and enjoyed it, but it could have been much better. Christoph Waltz is amazing and was completely wasted in the film. I pray he and Craig return for a 5th movie and they go out the right way. Waltz saying he was an author of Bond's pain had a terrible pay off too. He never really explains how he is connected to the past movie's events at all. Just that the villains all worked for SPECTRE? Cop out. I give it a B-.
