Paying member of an elite group ? Ummm ok . So you explained what Revis is doing in a thread last week lol? Are you fuckin serious with that shit ? Thanks for the laugh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dude. You aren't in any position to laugh anyone off, you have provided zero in terms of a coherent argument or any examples to support said argument. All this post is, is you paddling backwards away from the argument while you try to act like you have any fucking idea what you are talking about. Nice edit, by the way. Continue paddling backwards unless you feel like actually supporting your weak argument.
I'm not going to reply to you until you: A) figure out how to quote my post And B) remove that ass-backward iPhone sig from that quote so people don't think I use a toddler's toy for a wireless device. Somebody who pretends to be as resourceful as you do needs to spend a little more time trying to learn their way around common sense.
Thursday night games are hard to predict. And there have been plenty of bad games played recently. I'd imagine though, the home team having an even greater advantage coming off a short week, but the Jets are certainly banged up right now.
That's what people are forgetting about with this game,Rex knows this team inside and out and will try to pick away at our weaknesses nonstop. The roster is much better but still a lot of the same players he has coached for years.I see it as being tied 17-17 with 5 minutes left in the 4th qtr hopefully......
The only thing I'm noticing is we aren't playing as much man as we did with Revis under Rex. It seems like we are playing a lot more zone, or a lot more man with safety help over the top. The Rex - Revis, NYJ era, seemed to have just Revis on an island with the best receiver; and the "help" committed more to the blitz. Revis is still Revis from what I have seen. It just doesn't seem like Revis and a receiver alone on an "island" anymore. Revis is killing it this season though. Last week he setup Williams first interception and could have had one of his own (he was in the right position, just dropped it). I don't know how anyone can claim his play has diminished..? We just may not be asking him enough in our system; or we could be asking him to do a lot more it seems.
Being a long time sufferer I'm obviously feeling worried about this game I'll root for my boys but I have a bad feeling and I'm not proud to admit it
Better spy the QB...I have a feeling he's goona run a lot, and when he does look out for Sammy being wide open. This is a tough match up for the jets and why you brought Revis back.
I suspect that this is all part of the long term ramifications of Revis's injury: he lost a fraction of a step. It is just that Jets fans are now seeing it up close. But as you point out, when you're as good as he is you can lose a little performance-wise (and maybe more) and still be a very good player. Now if his play slips as the year goes on or he drops noticeably next year then we need to worry. Until then just sit back and enjoy Revis Island being back.
Well, you're a Jets fan, right? Then I'd say just winning is usually too much for us to ask. Getting all picky like that is just totally looking a gift horse in the mouth.
The problem I see is that this team is a terrible matchup for us. There is a reason why we haven't been competitive the last few times we played them. They have a lot of team speed on offense and the Jets have one of the slowest defenses in the league. Even if they take away Watkins we will get killed all day by McCoy, Clay, and Taylor extending plays. On defense our oline gets destroyed everytime we play these guys.
I'm not saying we'll definitely win, but WTF is up with this board? I get if we're playing the Packers or Patriots, but we're playing the 4-4 Bills that just lost to Jacksonville, they trounce Miami and now they're a juggernaut? We trounced Miami too, most teams have, they stink... But we need luck to beat the Bills? Those world-beaters? I don't get it... Both teams have ran the gambit from looking dominant, to mediocre, to terrible. Depending on which team shows up on both sides will determine the game and it's not luck, it's coaching, preparation, and health of the roster.
