There is no "decline of playing time", stop with this hogwash.

He's missed so many sacks this year. Yesterday he should have had 3 (two .5 sacks they gave him). Preseason and camp. It's scary what his stats could have looked like if he didn't over-commit or panic so many times. He lost another one on that strip sack when he got the concussion. NFL credited him a tackle there instead.

Vic Beasley by the way has 2 sacks this year, in 9 starts. Not saying Mauldin is better, has more upside, is more talented or whatever, but we all know what the typical Jets fan would have done by now had we drafted Beasley in the top 5. "Macc sucks man! Look at Beasley! 2 Sacks! This Mauldin bum is probably better and the Falcons got him in the 3rd round!!! SOJ!!!!1"

I'm mad it takes performances like this for Bowles to realize what he has...

Why isn't ridley playing? does he have to be forced to play via horrible play or injury and break out 200 yards and 2 TD's just to earn some damn playing time??

How about D-Milli? Does TB enjoy the smell of burned toast? cuz that's all he's getting from mr. "AlCro-TRASH"

Butterball Stacy seems to be decent in pass protection. Not sure what kind of back Ridley is but this week will be interesting with Powell returning hopefully and taking over his 3rd down job in which case Stacy is inactive for the Bills.

He's got potential - you cannot deny that. I gotta tell ya - that's all I asked. A potential. Hopefully he grows into the outside rushing presence we hoped him to be.

That said - I agree that Jets need better rush from the weak side. I still wonder if Randy Gregory could have pulled that gig. [You KNOW Jets had a shot at him in 2nd round.]

Fire Dan Quinn! He's a supposed defensive genius that can't recognize a pass rusher!

Ridley is pretty much the same RB as ivory... just less violent. But both strong, fight for yards, don't have downhill speed but has that initial burst when he gets the ball. Not very elusive either.

Can he catch and block? Or is he just a power back?

Never really seen Ridley as a receiving back..and his numbers also say that's not his cup of tea. Not saying he can't but he was never asked to do it.

& havent really looked into his blocking ability either.. but he is for sure a power back, he does say he WANTS to prove he's an all-around back though, so if TB gives him the chance maybe all questioned will be answered.. just doesnt seem like Bowles even cares to put him in.

I hope to see him get more playing time each week. I hope this is a sign to things to come. We need that OLB pass rush threat badly. He will always have the one on one opportunity with Mo and Sheldon taking up the double teams.

I think all of us have been wanting more Mauldin and Bowles is finally listening lol

Been pumping this kid since before the draft. He's only going to get better and better. He was the only one on his college defense worth a lick and he still made plays.

Also Trevor Reilly has lots of potential, I wish Bowles would play them instead of Coples and Pace, but until they're both gone that's never gonna happen.

Anyone see Sheldon Richardson crush that running back right after 2:00 min in first half? He's standing up like a Lb before the snap... tosses the running back into Bortles...take them both out, while Harris swats the ball away. I like Richardson with that running start...they should stand him up off the line a little more...#91 coming with speed is a bad thing for your offense. fucking murderer

Finally after all those years it seems like we might have found our edge rusher.
