Ik Enemkpali Named Team Captain for TNF

Has anyone noticed that the team overall has had no public reaction to this latest stunt by Rex except Pryor? This team is just so much more professional this season its mind blowing. We're not the best team in football, but we're certainly becoming one of them. We'll progress as fast as our Rookie HC/GM progresses. Not a bad situation to be in at all. IMO

 

Putting the Rex BS aside, we need to play one of our better games of the year for 4 quarters to bring the W home. Focus must be to preclude:
1- Mental lapses that allow big YARDAGE PLAYS AGAINST US or dumb penalties that negate BIG YARDAGE PLAYS for us need to be brought down to zero.
2- Slowing the game down and getting too conservative. Go for the kill, play aggressive, and above all mix it up on first down. Gailey, please get your imagination in gear.

 

110% correct. Everyone kept saying THE CLOWN was taking the pressure off his players. I think that was always a crock of crap. I think his continued rants and buffoonery simply made it harder for this team as time marched on.

 

Give this coaching staff and front office a QB to build around and we can definitely be one of them every year.

 

More of Rex being the reality sideshow he's always been.
He's the most unprofessional coach in all of football and quite possibly all of sports.

 

Just win on the field.... That's all that should matter.... What happened, happened...

I think the Jets should name IK as the defensive team captain this week.

 

I don't know if you noticed, but Rex Ryan "failed" to produce a winning record 4 years in a row.

 

Typical Rex. Short week to prepare and he spends his time with antics.

Either way, I don't know why Rex thinks this is going to bother anyone. At this point we all revere IK as a hero to us all. It's going to be like trotting out one of the Jet greats of all time, I bet he gets a standing ovation.

 

Why is this a big deal? When Rex was here, he always used ex players of the opponent we were playing as captains. The week before, they played the dolphins.... He used Ingonito and Carpenter as captains.........

Fair enough. I still don't see the comparison to guys like Incognito or any other player. He could have avoided all this drama by showing some class and simply not picking IK period.

 

Anyone who thinks Rex won't have a broadcasting career is nuts. There'll be a bidding war.
