you realize that the morning show is more about entertainment than sports right? I don't think they are going for the hardcore sports nut who wants to talk sports all day. there aren't that many of them and that is their most listened to time of the day. boomer and carton do exactly what they are supposed to do. just like don imus did on wfan for years and years and years. he almost never talked about sports.
This is 100% correct....its all about the time slot. Im not a morning radio show guy fo rthis reason. But its exactly what gets ratings at 7 AM
well, the alternative is michael kay, who is basically just a bigger brownosing fake critic version of francessa anyway. if francess was going up against, say, max keller at ESPN radio in NY he would probably be losing listeners.
i love boomer and carton. sports talk or not they are relevant, funny, and entertaining. and they have the some type of conversations id have with my buddies or co workers. id rather listen to carton talk about ordering a hot dog then most sports talk hosts talk about the jets game
boomer and carton kill their spot as well. and thats competing with the rock station morning shows. its not tough to beat out micheal kay.
Boomer and Carton are entertaining.. Fatcessa is an arrogant witless bore. no sense of humor at all, churlish with his callers, and cannot conduct an interview to save his life. he's beyond outdated, and i suspect he'll either be let go, or moved off that time slot soon.
like people have said before the only fun thing about francesser is when he loses his shit or the callers constantly call him and treat him like an idiot. its only entertaining for about 8 minutes but those 8 minutes can be completely fucking hilarious from time to time.
Agree with you about Fatcessa but not Carton, he's funny but beats certain subjects to death...Mike and Mike are horrible...Hahn and Humpty, Dave Rothenberg and Don Lagreca are my favorites

Lagreca is the biggest hypocrite on NY sports radio. He is always jumping down people's throats, calling them "frauds" if they happen to not hate a team that is suppose to be a rival. Yet, he is a Giants fan thatdoes Jets pregame, a Devils fan that does Rangers pregame and calls Rangers games and he's a Mets fan who supposedly hates the Yankees, yet he is happy to take that paycheck from YES. Whenever I hear him calling people frauds I just want to call up the radio station and tell him to look into a mirror.
When I'm in the car early I want to hear two guys bantering the way they do. My brain isn't working enough yet to do even simple things like hitting the brakes and flipping the bird at the same time.
lol the few minutes I listened to it some caller was asking if the Giants could make a Super Bowl run and he dismissed it, he said that team had an offensive line and a pass rush...don't disrespect the Panthers and Cardinals to think the Giants could run the table.
