If I ever divorce, my next girlfriend will be a sports fan, it will be mandatory. I can spend 15 hours Saturday and all Sunday morning doing home improvement shit but when I want to sit for three hours to watch the Jets I get passive aggressive BS all game long. She hasn't done a stitch of laundry or cleaning all week but ALWAYS picks the Jets game to start working then gives me dirty looks. It sucks, I feel ya...

No idea what you are stalking me about.

Jet and Met fan since 1969, STH since 2000, love my Jets and have never missed a game. Also love Teddy Carr and Marcus and wish we had one of them.

    What's your problem?

You mean fifth grade spitball fired.

I was actually trying to joke around with you since we've had many discussions on the new young quarterbacks.

Sorry you took offense to it, jesus.

I actually never gave that any thought - with my first wife or present. I always made it kind of clear that Sunday's (and Monday, and Thursday) and football were mine! If necessary, it will also be important for the next one to realize this as well. Second thought, ehhhh- no 3rd wife.

My wife doesn't understand why I routinely throw shoes at the TV when the Jets are on. But she's very good at bringing drinks and snacks while the game is on. And she's rich, and an excellent cook. I am not complaining, all things considered.

Been married almost 20 years and my wife has zero interest, maybe less, in football. It's never been an issue and will never be one in the future. Start watching pre game shows at 10 and plank my ass on the coach for as long as I want, never a problem...

Met my wife 10 years ago. We have been married for 6 years. I think by the time we were dating for a month I told her 16 Sundays a year were off limits for plans because I am a football fan, and since Im a Jets fan it will rarely be over 16.

She wasnt into football when we first met, but she has warmed up to it a bit. She is even playing fantasy football this year for the first time.

Gentlemen and honorable lesbian jet fans...

Your woes of your gf or wife not supporting your Jet habit are easily resolved with some simple behavior modification. This will convert all of your Woman's non-jet fandoms and outright hatred of jet Sunday's and make them yearn for Sunday's which will never seem to come soon enough...no need for long explanations of game strategies or rules or team player's stories of players personal lives like who they're married to or who they're dating etc. etc.

Simple Pavlovian training. First you watch the game in a comfortable place where you are provided the degree of privacy you require. The Jets score 3 points.. you celebrate with your woman by giving her oral. Jets score a touchdown your lady gets penetration. (Vaginal)
True, the jets scoring celebrations will be short because kickoffs ensue only a few minutes after they score. But this serves the greater purpose of teasing her for three hours. You benefit because your woman will soon be trained to orgasm quickly and maybe even multiply. If the jets win you both give yourselves over wildly and completely to absolute pleasure. Jets lose and she has to endure blue labs for a day.
Safeties /2 point scores are a wild card. You negotiate the orifice.
Guaranteed she will be up to speed bleeding green in no time. And she'll be throwing panties at the tv when jets don't run up the score!

If she isn't interested in learning football, give her a gift certificate every week to go somewhere else - spa for a massage, shopping, or some other crap that she actually likes to do with her friends. Even if she only goes out for a few hours to use her gift from you, she will think you were thinking of her because you spent your money on her, and you will probably have bought a whole day of football.

Married for 22 years. Although she put up a good front when we were newlyweds, my wife has no interest in football, but she is fine with me watching Jets games. She gets mildly annoyed when I'm on the couch watching football for 10 hours on Sunday. She get a little more annoyed with Monday Night Football and when she wants to watch one of her shows with me as penance (think "Grey's Anatomy"). She draws the line on Thursday night and is always good for a "Why is there football on EVERY fucking night of the week?!", so I don't push it unless it's a really intriguing matchup, or I record it and watch once she goes to bed.

This week, she is sure to ask me that since the Jets are on Thursday night, can we make other plans for Sunday. I will tell her no and she will walk off in a little huff.

And training my wife to watch the Jets using sex as a reward? LMAO. I only have sex when I engage in manual labor or buy furniture!

When we were dating and she would stay over on Saturdays, on Sunday she'd hang out and read while I watched football and not say a word.

Precedent set. The marriage cannot deviate from that established acceptance.

If your wife accepted it prior to the marriage but gives you a hard time after marriage, that's a you problem because you aren't reminding her what behavior you married.
