Really interesting to hear this...Alot of UK fans were bored out of their mind. Maybe Mendes made a film that appeals to the domestic audience and the UK fans are sort of not as much into it.

I think I will check it out today.

I can understand how the UK audience would be bored but for us Yanks, great movie!

Just got our tix for tomorrow night--seeing it in RPX.

    Can't wait.

    Zinburger before.

Throw in a fat man and a tree and you've got Christmas.

Yeah we have a relatively new 12 screen movie theater near us with a few RPX screens so we don't really go anywhere else.

The Zinburger is 20 yards away from the theater--it's our default restaurant. Yeah, it's pretty damn good. Love the Breakfast Burger.

Of course Goldeneye to me is one of the better films, but for some odd reason I love Moonraker the most. A View to a Kill is good as well.

You can never go wrong with a great burger. That's a great burger, the Breakfast Burger. I have a healthy obsession with Avocados and Bacon

I was joking. Isn't it regarded as one of the worst?

The opening scene to Goldeneye was amazing.

    I still love Solitaire.

I know some people that like that movie, but Quantum of Solace, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die another Die Day are the worst in my book.

Yep... This movie is THE ONE. It will remind you of the Connery series of Bonds.

Someone call the local paramedics to check on Cman, he's apparently hit his head and is delirious.

Now what brought you to that conclusion? :)

IMO, it was better than Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall. The movie even tied all three of those into the plot.

    Wow.

I thought Skyfall was way better than Spectre and I liked Spectre when I saw it last night.

Just saw it tonight with the misses...

I am going to disagree with @Cman55 here...I did not like Spectre much at all.
There is some serious problems with movie, in one word - Consistency.

This film was no where near on the level of Skyfall...I guess I am on the same boat as the majority of UK fans who hated this film...Why?

Its not a James Bond film...At random spurts it tries to be a 007 film and bring in that charm the character and stories have. To me, this film is on Quantum of Solace level.

    Few things:
    - There were parts that felt vintage Bond that I liked. It had that noir-Bond feel which was cool. Then it randomly changed its tone and became a really complex in its story and serious film only to try and bring back something that resembled the classic James Bond charm. It was a jumbled mess at times. I know Skyfall was serious but I loved that film...It did not try to go crazy in its story and try to outsmart the audience so much.
    - I learned there were major edits to the screenplay post-auditions, especially near the end...I noticed how the story was feeling rushed
    - Christoph Waltz was a complete waste of a villain...They hype him to be someone amazing and central figure but he barely does anything and continues to make stupid decisions. Character sucked
-Monica Bellucci was a waste of time, character and scenes had no reason to be in this
-Daniel Craig is great as Bond and the usual secondary characters are great.
-The guy who played C acted terribly
    - The Bond girl...I just dont even understand how that relationship with Bond becomes what it is
-Ending was flat...sort of the same feeling after watching Man of Steel...(Well, they wrapped that up quickly)

I dont know but I got into the hype and felt bummed out with this film. It did not feel like a James Bond film

Yes, this film tied all those 3 into the plot...But it was a freaking mess with how they did it and it pissed me off how it made the prior films feel more insignificant to this one in terms of plot.

They totally botched the Villain...And Dave Bautista had good moments in his role, but it pretty much was a copycat of prior side-villains.

Casino Royale and Skyfall are like a 9/10...Spectre is like a 5.5 or 6/10 my friend
